Y&R Spoilers: Cane Sets A Trap For Victor, Will He Take The Bait?

The Young And The Restless spoilers reveal that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) could be setting a trap for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Will Victor take the bait? Could Cane beat Victor at his own game?

Cane Ashby Has Hidden For Six Years

Cane has been hiding behind Aristotle Dumas for the last six years while he was setting up his plot to run all of Genoa City.

While undercover, Cane has caused a great deal of damage to his relationship with his children that he expects Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) to help him repair the damage. Cane believes he can win Lily back as well.

Cane has been so secretive about his work that it seems far-fetched for him to allow Victor to back him into a corner. Cane is determined to take Newman Enterprises, as well as Chancellor away from Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).

Now, Victor has threatened to expose Colin Atkinson’s (Tristan Rogers) part in the con to get the chateau and vineyard.

Victor Newman Believes He Has The Upper Hand

Colin supposedly conned the owner into leaving the vineyard, etc. To him in a will and then help Cane to build his empire. Knowing this, Victor thinks he has the upper hand.

Victor plans to use this information to force Cane to join forces with him to go after Jabot. However, Cane’s reaction is not what Victor expects.

Cane will allow Victor to believe he has the upper hand and tell him that it seems like he doesn’t have a choice.

Victor will be happy that Cane sees things his way and at least act as though he is going along with his plans for Jabot. The longer this goes on the better Victor will believe he has Cane right where he wants them.

Victor believes he found out something secret to use against Cane. What if Cane planted that evidence? Let’s be honest, Cane managed to hide behind Dumas for years.

Cane and Victor had issues before and Victor never found out who Dumas was. Why would make such a rookie mistake now?

Victor couldn’t find any information on Dumas before the truth was revealed. Victor had no idea who he was even when he told Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) that he did.

Victor seems to be falling hook, line, and sinker for a story that isn’t going to do anything to stop Cane. Watch for Cane to turn to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan). Did Amanda help put this plan together?
