Y&R Spoilers: Alum Shemar Moore Addresses S.W.A.T. Cancellation

the Young And The Restless spoilers reveal that Shemar Moore took time to address S.W.A.T. Fans now that the show has been cancelled.

The Y&R alum has played Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson during eight seasons of S.W.A.T. Unfortunately, the show has been cancelled and it doesn’t seem that the decision will be reversed.

The Last Harrah

This is not the first time that S.W.A.T. Has been cancelled. In May 2023 CBS cancelled the series. However, about a week later, CBS chanced their minds so they could wrap up the stories that were left hanging.

Season seven was then supposed to be the last season. Shockingly, in May 2024, the show was renewed for yet another unexpected season.

During the past two years, Sony Pictures Television has managed to secure financing for S.W.A.T. Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the case this time.

CBS has decided that this is the end. Moore has fought for the series during that last two years and has encouraged fans to do the same by writing the network and expressing their displeasure.

Shemar Moore Admits It’s Over

After all of the efforts Shemar has put in to keep the series going, he has acknowledged this decision is final.

Shemar posted a video on his Instagram where he wrote, “SWAT IS CANCELED…. AGAIN!!! After 8 seasons… CANCELED… maybe this time for good!!! But my momma didn’t raise NO QUITTER!!! No Matter what, I AM GRATEFUL n THANKFUL!!! Almost 31 years in this game of Hollywood… JOURNEY OF A DREAMER!!! To my Homies, Fans, Baby Girls, SWAT CREW, and Hollywood…. I say THANK YOU!!!! And ‘FILL THE GAPS n STAY LIQUID… ROLL SWAT’!!!! 💜❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🦾🎬⭐️”

The final episode of Season 8 and the S.W.A.T. Series finale is expected to air in two weeks on Friday, March 21. Currently, S.W.A.T. Is airing at 10pm on CBS, following Fire Country.

Shemar Moore’s Time As Malcolm Winters

Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) come to Genoa City in 1994. Malcolm’s mission was to reunite with his brother Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John).

Neil and Malcolm didn’t get along and were actually sibling rivalries. While Neil was straight laced and an “A” student while Malcolm was a star athlete who skipped town after high school.

Neil didn’t want anything to do with Malcolm because of his wild ways. Thanks to Neil’s wife, he finally gave Malcolm a chance. Malcolm got a job working or Jabot Cosmetics.

Malcolm ended up sleeping with Neil’s wife who got pregnant and passed the child off as Neil’s. It later came out that Lily was Malcolm’s daughter when she found out she had cancer. However, Lily still thinks of Neil as her dad.
