Y&R Michelle Stafford Dishes Out A Classic Throwback All In Honor Of Jason Thompson’s Birthday

The Young and the Restless spoilers note that Billy Abbott and Phyllis Summers may not be on the friendliest of terms, but their portrayers are buddies. Michelle Stafford wished Jason Thompson a “happy birthday” recently and also wowed friends with a throwback classic!

Remember those classic Gap ads from the ‘90s? They were funky, hip, and snappy! Well, it turns out that Jason Thompson was in one of them that profiled the latest Gap-wear of the season, all to the ditty of Madonna’s “Dress You Up”.

Stafford posted the throwback on November 20 in honor of Thompson’s birthday. A younger Jason took center stage in one of the Gap’s ‘90s commercials, singing “Dress You Up”, and his Y&R colleague uploaded the older video on her Instagram account.

The second video slide was another Gap commercial from the ‘90s that Thompson was in, this time singing the tune, “Mellow Yellow” by Donovan. Stafford’s IG caption read, “Yes yes!!!! Say Happy Birthday to @myjasonthompson (these came up in my feed a couple months ago!! Been waiting to post!!) #YR 🎉🎉🥳 @gap”

The Comments Section Was Lit

Of course, both soap fans and soap stars chimed in the comments section. Thompson replied to Stafford’s post, “Haha!! They call me “Old Yeller” ❤️ Thank you Stafford!! And everyone else here for the bday wishes!! 🙏🏼”

Meanwhile, General Hospital star, Finola Hughes (Anna Devane), who worked with Stafford and Thompson on the ABC soap when Michelle was “Nina Reeves” (now played by Cynthia Watros) and Jason played Patrick Drake. Hughes wrote, “Is this a Gap commercial? Also, I didn’t know you could sing my friend @myjasonthompson Happy B’day xxxx.”

The Y&R’s Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson), whose character was once linked to Billy Abbott, also hit the comment section with, “Haha so good! Happy Bday @myjasonthompson 🎈🎁💕”, while Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore) noted, “😮😮 love this!! Happy Birthday @myjasonthompson 🎂✨❤️”
