Max Ehrich, known for a number of TV roles, is remembered for his role as Fenmore Baldwin on The Young and the Restless. Well, things blew up for him recently when he ended up arrested for allegedly attacking his mom, Rhonda Ehrich. This weekend, he shared that his dad is being very supportive of him. Plus, some rather astonishing news arrived. Read on to find out more.
Supportive Dad & Astonishing News
On Instagram this weekend, Max shared a post that his dad had written. It was long, but clearly showed that the family sticks together. If you don’t know, the original report suggested that Max uses nitrous oxide and allegedly got aggressive, beating up on his mom, and also sharing it on social media.
Well, his dad mentioned the nitrous oxide, and that Max is getting help. However, some other news seemed to stun Y&R fans. Max’s dad wrote:
Recently Max stated he had a run in with gang members and was held without his will. I believe this is where his addiction to the nitrous oxide had begun. We are happy that he is alive and is in process of going to rehab to address the addictive properties of the nitrous oxide.
Naturally, fans responded with some shock to hear that it sounded as if the actor had been kidnapped. One follower responded by writing, “You were kidnapped? @fbilosangelesdivision needs to get on this! That is insane!”
However, most people felt happy that Rhonda and her husband both stand by their son, who they hope “that after rehab…will once again be the loving, caring and trustworthy son/friend…”
Dismissing Reports Of Trouble
Max Ehrich’s dad also dismissed media reports that claimed that Rhonda and Max “have a strained relationship.” In fact, he stressed that such reports are “farthest from the truth.” And, he continued by saying, “They are each other’s best friend, sounding board and loving/caring mother/son relationship.”
Obviously, there are some problems, but the parents seem determined to stand by their son as he deals with his issues. Many people appreciated it when he said, “We are a very close family and have always been supportive of Max’s career…we have always been there for him.”
Y&R Fans React
Most folks appreciated the very public stand in support of the CBS alum. However, some people felt irritated and a few of them compared him to Jussie Smollett and the “hate crime hoax.” Nevertheless, lots of people felt a bit happier knowing that Max Ehrich has a loving family.
Max had also posted a comment where he said, “Love you Dad. Thanks for being the best role model I could ask for.”
