Tristan Rogers Cancer Diagnosis, GH & B&B Fans React

Actor Tristan Rogers, 79, known for his role as Robert Scorpio on ABC’s General Hospital, was reportedly diagnosed with cancer. Fans took to social media to express their support and share messages of hope for the beloved star.

The Well-Known Actor Has A Health Crisis 

Rogers was best known for his role on GH, appearing in many episodes of the daytime drama. His acting talent and storylines made him a fan favorite. Additionally, fans remembered him from his time on The Young and the Restless as Colin Atkinson and as Hunter on The Bold and the Beautiful.

This week, Soap Opera Digest reported on his cancer diagnosis, and many fans rushed to support him on social media. They sent their well-wishes and hopes for a full recovery. Some of his fans recalled his work in Studio City, which earned him an Emmy Award.

The news first came from publicist Anthony Turk. While the family has requested privacy during this difficult time, they deeply appreciate the outpouring of love and support. And, there’s been plenty of that.

When Michael Fairman shared the worrying news on X, formerly Twitter, plenty of people rolled up to say kind things about the real-life Robert Scorpio. One of them penned, “So sad to hear this. Wishing you all the best, Tristan!” and plenty of others posted  up praying hands emojis.

Many Stars Passed Away 

The fan who mentioned GH losing cast members wasn’t wrong. In the last three years alone, Leslie Charleson (who played Monica Quartermaine) passed away after a cancer diagnosis. Her death came in January this year. Meanwhile, Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie Spencer) passed away just over two years ago.

Recently, Chris Robinson (Dr. Rick Webber) died after reportedly suffering from heart failure. While Tristan Rogers is still with us, many fans fear for him because he’s no spring chicken anymore.

One concerned commenter shared: “Sending prayers his way! Us fans have been worried for a while now based on his last appearance on GH. He definitely has lost a lot of weight, and it was obvious he wasn’t well. Hopefully, he can achieve remission or a full recovery—we miss and adore him!”
