Posting a photo of her dog Chester, Emma captioned her post with, “Sorry to report that Chester is in the (animal) hospital.

He seemed to be in a lot of pain last night, and we were really lucky that his FAVORITE vet Hannah was able to see him this morning. He’s being looked after very well. I’ll keep you posted.”

That same year, it took quite a long time for Emma to come back to work because she’s been dealing with a long covid.

The actress told the publication that she’s been touched by all the positive feedback she’s gotten from her comeback.

Emma has also been dealing with long COVID for the last few years. She told People, “I’m so cautious now. If I look at the distance to walk, I think, ‘How unwell will I feel if I walk?’

I’m always clocking, ‘Where’s the nearest hospital?’ My inclination is to lie still in a quiet, dark room. That’s the only safe place health-wise for me. And I am not alone.”

She also explained, “I had massive trepidation. But I feel really lucky that people are willing to accommodate me in order for me to work. I feel desperately sorry for people who don’t have bosses who are as sympathetic.”

General Hospital News: Will Emma Samms Ever Come Back To Port Charles Again?

In 2022 Emma said good-bye to Port Charles. Emma also said that she’s happy to see that Holly and Robert are back together again and on such good terms.

She added, “She and Robert have great empathy for each other and great affection and great love, without a doubt.”

“You see that connection between them is still really burning strong and if it wasn’t for these extreme circumstances, they would probably be right back to where they were, working together – not necessarily with his permission, but she would be joining them! I think they would be right back to that!”

The stunning actress also admitted that after having been married three times, she never thought that she would find love again.

She also thought that she didn’t think she would have a meaningful romantic partnership until she met Simon.

“For the last 20 years, I’ve lived on my own,” she explained. “I’ve been a single mother. Very happily so. But a year ago, I got married. And I never thought I’d get married again.”
