The Real Reason Why GH’s Ric Wants Ava To Blackmail Alexis

General Hospital spoilers tease Ava making a big move when she tries to get her divorce settlement back from Alexis.

General Hospital: Ava’s Daring Gamble

Knowing that Kristina Davis-Corinthos (Kate Mansi) cut the brakes on Ric’s (Rick Hearst) car when it was parked in Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) spot has Ava doing math in her head as she calculates how much money this move could earn her.

She goes straight to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), demanding all that Cassadine that she feels she is entitled to in exchange for keeping quiet about Kristina’s bad deed.

Ric Lansing, who nearly died thanks to Kristina, knows what Ava is up to and does not like it, but he is going along with it anyway.

He even straight-out lied to Elizabeth Webber Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) about the accident when she was also a victim and now has a broken leg.

Rick Hearst thinks he knows why Ric is letting Ava forge ahead with her plan, despite wanting Kristina to pay for what she did in some way.

Alexis Needs The Truth

Hearst knows his character can do some nasty things, but in this case, he believes that Ric just wants Alexis to face some cold, hard truths.

“Ultimately, I believe that he does have pause about it, but he’s more about getting her to come to his side and realize that my daughter is our daughter as much as Kristina is hers and Sonny’s,” Hearst said in an interview with Soap Opera Digest. ” From my viewpoint, I really love the story because so many characters are dealing with so many different of their own knee-jerk demons, right?

I’ve told you about what Ric is dealing with, and then there’s the element of Alexis understanding that Kristina did eff up — she did something that could have cost somebody their life, she let her impulsiveness get the better of her, and now what does Alexis do? What would a parent do at that point? Do you protect them or do you let them fall and learn the lesson? That’s a tough position to be in.”

Will Alexis finally face facts about her completely unhinged daughter or will she continue to let her get away with every crazy thing she does? Alexis and Sonny Corinthos are going to have to have a reckoning about their little girl once and for all.
