The Real Reason Why GH Sidwell Paid Off The Judge In Michael’s Child Custody Case

General Hospital spoilers reveal fans were shocked during the Thursday, June 19 episode when they learned that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) was the one who paid off Judge Eva Heran (Tess Auberjonois) to ensure Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) got full custody of Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver), and Amelia Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko).

Stunning information to say the least, but the bigger question is … why?

Sidwell Has A Heart?

General Hospital spoilers hint that there are major question marks surrounding who blew up Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) penthouse earlier this year – the very explosion that caused Michael to leave town abruptly and seek medical attention in Germany. Michael got caught in the crossfire of something that was clearly targeted at his father.

Plus, thanks to Michael’s hospitalization, he lost time with his children, and his marriage fell completely apart as Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was able to move right in and snag Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), as her husband fought for his life.

If Sidwell was the person behind this attack, and he had a conscience or a heart, this may have been the motivation behind paying off the judge to ensure Michael got his “life” back on track and could make up for lost time with his children.

Part Of A Bigger Plan?

Then again, Sidwell seems like he’s 10 steps ahead of the game at all times. Could paying off the judge be a piece of the puzzle to a larger scheme? Maybe he has another targeted act in mind, where Wiley and Amelia will be pawns in his game.

If he knows that Sonny’s grandkids are with Michael, then he knows where to strike. Then again, Sidwell is somewhat aligned with Drew, so was this to ensure that he would stay focused on their plan to bring down Sonny? Who knows why soap opera master villains do what they do, right?! Only time will tell.
