The GH Character Fans Miss the Most in 2025

General Hospital spoilers tease that 2025 has been quite the year for Port Charles residents.

There has been a lot going on including the mysterious return of Nathan West (Ryan Paevey). Nathan was gunned down seven years ago after being shot by his own father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).

Of course, Faison himself was killed shortly after, and his brain was supposedly preserved for study by Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom).

The mystery of Nathan’s return from beyond the grave is still ongoing. But the story is missing a major player, Nathan’s wife Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).

Maxie Jones Moved On After Nathan West’s Death With His Brother!

After Nathan died, Maxie gave birth to his son, James West ((Gary James Fuller). She slowly grew close to Peter August (Wes Ramsey), who was actually Nathan’s half-brother Henrik Faison, They fell in love and Maxie soon found herself pregnant once again, this time with Peter’s baby.

They were set to marry until Maxie discovered that Peter was responsible for many terrible crimes, just like his father before him.

Eventually, Peter kidnapped Maxie but ultimately killed by Maxie’s mother, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Maxie went home, finally free from Peter.

GH Spoilers – Maxie Jones reunited with Damian Spinelli

For a long time, Maxie focused only on her children and her newfound career as part owner of Deception. Slowly, she once again found love with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson). Maxie and Spinelli were quite happy together until earlier this year when tragedy struck.

Maxie collapsed on-air after testing a face cream that had been tainted by Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and his mysterious business partner. She’s remained off-screen in a coma ever since. But her absence is glaring, especially now that Nathan is back.

Nathan West’s Return Is Missing Something

Nathan has just settled back into his life as if nothing ever happened. He’s slowly forging a relationship with his son and recently even returned to the police force. But strangely, he apparently has yet to even visit Maxie.

Maxie is the character who would be most invested in Nathan’s miraculous return. Of course, that may be by design. If rumors are true, than Maxie would easily be able to figure out if Nathan wasn’t being himself.

Kirsten Storms is away on medical leave for the time being, but this particular storyline seems like it should have waited until she was back. As it is, the story only feels half told.
