‘Survivor 49’, Episode 2, Preview: Shoe Bandit Shenanigans, Annie’s A Karen, New Twist

Survivor 49 debuted with a bang on Wednesday, September 24, and there were some incredible moments. Fans saw Nicole Mazullo, the youngest female contestant of the season from Kele Tribe receive the bragging rights as the first person voted out. So, what’s in store for Episode 2? Time to find out!

The CBS reality show dropped its preview for Episode 2 after its explosive premiere, and here’s the scoop.

The promo opens with Jake Latimer, a.k.a. the ‘Shoe Bandit’ (a.k.a. one-half of a bromance with Alex Moore) from the Kele Tribe, as spots a lone shoe at his camp, and states, “Don’t mess with the Shoe Bandit”.

As the scenes shift, the tribes look at host Jeff Probst with shock, seemingly before a challenge as he says, “This is an interesting turn on day 5”. Sophie Segreti from the Hina Tribe doesn’t look too pleased, as all this goes down. The next scene shows members of the Uli Tribe bonding, as Jawan Pitts is aside and notes, unhappily, that “I’ll have to go to war with these people.”

Meanwhile at the Kele Tribe, Jeremiah Ing is shown with Sophi Balerdi somewhere outside of the main camp, as Sophi notes that “Annie is pissing me off,” while Kimberly ‘Annie’ Davis is getting comfortable at camp, lying down with a smile on her face.

Annie happily states that she is the puppet master. As the scenes shift, Sophi can be heard saying “She’s a Karen,” – obviously referring to Annie. The promo ends with Sophi making that comment, and Jeremiah laughing his head off.

What To Expect From Episode 2

Survivor 49 fans are just getting their feet wet with Season 49. Sure, the two-hour episode premiere had plenty of ups and downs, but as tribes and alliances settle, viewers are also getting a gauge of leaders and front runners for this season’s $1 million prize winer.

With that said, fans should expect a twist of some sort, as hinted in the preview. After all, Probst does mention it, and it wouldn’t be Survivor without some shockers to switch the game up!
