Kody Brown sang like a bird in his time on ‘Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.’ And even now that the main event is over, Kody didn’t seem particularly interested in reeling his mouth in.
In addition to claiming he plans to retire from reality TV to keep the peace in his home, here are Kody Brown’s most surprising bombshells from the reunion episode.
Kody Brown Says He’d Likely Retire From Reality Television To Save His Marriage
Kody Brown has, in recent times, slipped from a proud man with four wives to a stumbling one who is scared of losing the last one he still has his grasp on.
However, he credits this internal discord to the challenges of starring in the very popular reality TV series ‘Sister Wives.’ In the past, Kody has fought to keep TLC renewing the juicy contract to film the show that documented his life, that of his four wives and 18 children.
These days, he’d likely feel more blessed if he didn’t have the cameras capturing his every move and the public judging and criticizing his private matters (ahem, public matters).
“I’d like to retire my wife, Robyn, from reality television so they can’t pit us against each other now,” he said. He then quickly reassured fans that all isn’t exactly gloom and doom at home, “We’re solid. … I like to talk about my wife who is shy, who doesn’t want me talking about her but she’s my favorite person in the world.”
Were Three Divorces Expensive? Kody Brown Answers
Whilst Kody Brown isn’t exactly legally married to three of his four wives, people couldn’t help wondering still how he coped with three divorces. Host Nick Viall, 45, specifically wanted to know if it was expensive.
“It’s been expensive emotions in a way that is inconceivable, I think,” Kody shared. “There was no legal marriage. It was only expensive in paying for kids. … They all made more money than me so there was no alimony to be paid.”
Whilst not “expensive” in the traditional sense, Kody still admitted he paid rather a hefty price in the process. “I think something just tweaked me a little bit,” he explained. “You can’t come out of three divorces and not struggle a little bit with some sort of mental illness.”
I don’t know about that: the man’s been basically egging Meri Brown to leave him for years, after all.
