Sister Wives Season 19 Part 2 is airing after a hiatus, and many TLC fans feel too triggered to watch an upcoming episode. Read on to find out why. Notably, it’s not so much about Kody Brown this time.

The Upcoming Episode Has A Trigger Warning

On Reddit a few hours ago, u/Outrageous-Yogurt-80 shared a screenshot from TLC, and they wrote in the caption, “Just a disclaimer for next week’s episode.”

In the text, TLC had written, “On the next Sister Wives, Janelle, Kody, and the Brown family face an unimaginable loss….If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available. Call or text 988 to reach the suicide and crisis lifeline or chat at 988lifeline.org.”

Too Triggered To Watch?

Of course, it’s the long-awaited coverage that fans hope will be a tribute to the life of Garrison Brown. But, from the sound of it, fans will see the terrible heartbreak as Janelle Brown, Kody, and the rest if the family struggle with their grief. Already, Mykelti Padron expressed her reservations about the approach by the network.

In the comments section, as much as they all loved Garrison before he took his own life, too many people feel triggered by the upcoming coverage. Garrison died from a gunshot wound in March last year. And, those close to others in crisis can’t bring themselves to watch the pain play out.

The Reactions Are Full Of Pain

Many of the reactions to the post were extremely painful, and other Redditors were very kind. One person wrote, “As a suicide loss survivor who lost her son 12 years ago, I can’t watch because there is no doubt in my mind it will trigger me. I haven’t watched all season. I just can’t.”

Self-inflicted death is a tragic reality, and others also expressed their inability to watch. Here are a few more heartwrenching comments:

  • Lost my brother that way 2.5 years ago. I don’t use the word trigger lightly, but this is real triggering.
  • My brother died by suicide 2.5 years ago and it takes my mind into the vortex to see others walk a similar hellish path. Might skip this one or just watch the quick highlights.
  • It’s kind of breathtaking how many people have been affected by suicide.

Others who didn’t say they experienced the loss of someone close to them also feel a bit hesitant to tune in. One of them wrote, “Oh, no… It’s been a year and I still don’t think I’m ready to watch this…. I’m glad now to make sure I have a tissue box with me…”

Many people hope that the show is respectful to Garrison’s memory, and others hope that the angle taken is some sort of message that might help others with mental health issues.
