In Season 20, Episode 5, Sister Wives, fans found out Aurora Brown started dating someone. She’d been talking to this guy for a bit, and he finally asked her to be his girlfriend. The New Boyfriend Is In The Military?
Katie Joy from Without a Crystal Ball on Instagram went off and dug up more details than fans see on the TLC show. Next, she posted a photo of Aurora Brown with a rifle. She’d gotten it from the boyfriend’s social media where, on September 7, he shared about them dating for a year.
Katie Joy wasn’t tolling Aurora or her boyfriend, and asked about the type of weapon that Aurora held. She wondered if it might be the type of gun that Kody Brown sells. In her caption, she wrote:
Aurora Brown has a boyfriend named Brodie Utley. He appears to be in the military and lives in Flagstaff – though may be originally from New Mexico. He shared a series of photos of them in a carousel – with this photo. I wondered if these are the guns that Kody sells? Looks like AR-15 style. There is a silencer as well. Anyone know any details?
Well, Brodie turned up in the comments and told her about the weapon.

Very politely, Aurora Brown’s boyfriend responded in the comments and confirmed the type of rifle. Notably, it doesn’t seem to be one that Kody owned. He told the blogger, “Hello ma’am, that gun is mine. It is an AR-15 with a suppressor. 100% legal and registered to me. I use it for hunting and just having fun out at the rifle range.”
Some people hated the idea of guns, but the guy’s in the military. And, many Sister Wives fans appreciate that sort of service, especially as Garrison Brown served in the National Guard.

It’s thought that Brodie and Aurora probably met at her church. Apart from that, his Instagram reveals other things about him. He seems to love the outdoors, hunts, and fishes. Other pictures suggest that he or his family might live on a ranch. Additionally, he might be into music, as one photo showed some instruments.
Other posts showed him climbing rocks, horse riding, and exploring with other folks backpacking the trails in Montana. One reel showed him pointing that out, and it was a reposted TikTok video. Unfortunately, his TikTok seems to be private.
