Ryan Paevey Hints A Significant Storyline On ‘GH’ Return

Ryan Paevey, who acted the role of Nathan West, stepped away for seven years but he’s returning to General Hospital soon. There’s a lot of speculation about what role he might take, including that of Nathan, the good guy who died. Whatever his role will be, he recently hinted that his storyline will be an important one and not some wishy-washy character.

Hinting At A Strong Storyline 

Ryan, who confirmed his return on social media by sharing an article about it with a caption that said, “Is this how I announce I’m back?” left the show and even stepped away from Hallmark. Apparently, he struggled as his mom fought cancer. But he’s back, and fans hope not as a twin or a ghost.

However, it seems that GH fans needn’t worry that ABC made up a feeble storyline for him. Speaking with the printed TV Guide Magazine, Michael Fairman TV quoted him as saying, “I wouldn’t come back for something vanilla.” What does that even mean? Well, the belief is that if something is vanilla, then it’s dull, plain, and boring.

So, potentially, Ryan Paevey is saying that his role will engage daytime drama viewers. He added, “This go-round is definitely going to be wildly different than the last one was…We’ve got some fun stuff planned…It’s going to be a blast.”

Return Speculation 

Lots of speculation amongst fans of General Hospital focuses on Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). While Kirsten takes a temporary exit after being in a coma, it seems very convenient that her deceased husband might suddenly arrive on the ABC show. The question is constantly debated as to who he might be.

Notably, it’s no use looking to Ryan to drop any spoilers on that; he’s being tight-lipped, which keeps fans curious. However, he did mention that after two years away from acting, he’s feeling fit and fine and ready to take on his role with enthusiasm.

Who Might He Be?

One of the best theories is that perhaps, like his fictional sister, Nathan might possibly be alive despite being killed. In that case, he could return as himself.

Remember, Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) died but was resurrected in what seems to be some sort of research facility in Croatia. Perhaps Nathan West is there somewhere as well? For now, fans will just need to wait to find out.
