Robert Irwin Fans Want Him To Be The Next Bachelor

Robert Irwin is currently competing with Witney Carson on Dancing with the Stars, season 34. Tourism Australia’s newest campaign noted that he wants to marry a tourist from America, like his dad, Steve Irwin, and his sister Bindi. However, in response to that, more than one person said that ABC needs to cast him as the next Bachelor lead.

Robert Knows What He Wants

E! News caught up with Witney Carson and Robert Irwin, and they had obviously heard about the campaign to visit Australia suggesting the young man would consider an American marriage. So, on Instagram, they asked if he’d found his future American yet. He said that he’s still on the lookout.

Joking, Witney said that anyone interested should apply via her “DMs.” Then, she made Robert laugh by adding that she’ll screen applications and forward them to his sister, Bindi. But seriously, what sort of person does the Australian Zoo conservationist want?

Get Him On ‘The Bachelor’

Well, he said that anyone he dates must have “Genuine kindness.” He then elaborated, saying, “My life is a whirlwind. It’s an adventure and I would love to be able to share that with someone.”

Dancing with the Stars fans who saw the interview decided that if Robert wants to marry an American, then he should be the next Bachelor. Are you listening, ABC? One fan started it off by writing in the comments, “Make him the bachelor @abc.”

Others agreed. Another person said, “Make him the next bachelor,” and several similar remarks followed. Certainly, if it happened, judging by other comments, there would be no shortage of female applicants.

Could It Happen?

Unfortunately, the chances of Robert being on the dating show seem extremely slim. Swoon noted that to become the lead on the ABC dating show, Robert would need to be a legal resident of the United States or Canada, though they cannot be from Quebec.

Well, that’s sad. However, plenty of others in the comments would still love to meet and date the DWTS frontrunner.

Other Comments

Lots of thirsty fans agreed that Steve Irwin’s son seems too young to settle down, while others wished they were younger. One person quipped, “I’m old enough to be his mom, I’m old enough to be his mom, I’M OLD ENOUGH TO BE HIS MOM.”
