David Mosley, a rapper who also goes by the name of Church of Ububal, appeared in the Bronx Criminal Court for a hearing on November 18. Facing true crime charges of aggravated animal cruelty, the judge declared he should expect little in the way of plea deals after he allegedly sacrificed a cat in the name of musical artistry.

The Satanic Ritual

The news that David Mosley allegedly chose a satanic ritual for his efforts to be a top-rated rapper shocked a lot of animal rights activists. Not to mention cat lovers across the globe. After all, he felt so proud of it, that he even made videos and shared them on social media.

Outrage grew after he was granted bail. But his true crime hearing this week, which saw many protesters outside the court, made the judge, Linda Poust Lopez, reveal her feelings on the callous act.

The Judge Seemed Angry

Per Fox News, she didn’t mince her words and noted that she’d only approve a plea bargain if he accepted the harshest two-year prison term for the charge of animal cruelty.

Apart from that, he was told that he better attend mental health sessions. The hearing really turned up the heat, showing how both the judge and the public are pushing for him to face serious consequences and do jail time.

A Cruel Promotional Act?

David Mosley from the Bronx is an up-and-coming rapper. Living in Fordham North, he apparently invented the rapper name of Church of Ububal which is based on toys from the Labubu brand

On October 30, he was taken into custody following the alleged killing of the cat as a stunt for a promotion. But don’t think his “Church” name is based on anything good.

In fact, he even boasted about how the cat shrieked in its last ritualistic moments, saying, “You should have heard the little bih squeal. lol … kinda like your mom.”

Plus, when he promoted it as a “live sacrifice” on Halloween, he told his audience to “be there or be square.” Reports note that David Mosley got the idea from Mayhem, a Norwegian black metal band, which was related to murder, possibly of the ritual type.

The Video Was Reported By Viewers

Anyway, once his video went viral on social media, reporters confronted him. But, the rapper just yelled at them to go and find a story somewhere else.

Additionally, he insulted those who reported his post on social media, claiming it was because of his race. Plus, he claimed he staged the scene by just using makeup. You can see a video about it further down in this article, but discretion is advised.

Petition Ramps Up

Besides the criminal indictment, Animal Victory’s petition calling for a maximum sentence and ban on him ever having or working with animals, already found tens of thousands of signatures.

With the judge calling for the severest punishment, the time for action has arrived. Many folks feel the cruel crime was so bad that he should get more time behind bars. When the video was shared by @TheRealPaulMueller, nobody felt sorry for the rapper.
