Prince Harry’s Big Money Requests Reportedly Angered Queen Elizabeth

Prince Harry reportedly made several money requests to his father King Charles shortly after his exit from the Royal Family.

\At the time, he and Meghan had just landed in America and they were yet to secure multi-million dollar Netflix and Spotify deals. Suffice it to say, they were a little tight on money, and Harry turned to his family for some help.

Apparently, he didn’t do that in the most humane way and it ended up angering his now-late grandmother.

Prince Harry Tested the Late Queen Elizabeth’s Patience By Repeatedly Asking For Money

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may now have enough to live in a $14 million mansion, but it wasn’t always so.

Leaving behind the Royal Family for life in America America had landed the Sussex couple on a rather shaky ground – one in which they told Oprah Winfrey was rather dire at the time.

In fact, according to Harry, his father stopped picking his calls at the time.

We would later learn that King Charles ignored to pick his son’s calls, because every one of them ended up being the same monotonous request for money.

But if you think Charles was the only one weathering the storm of Harry’s money demands, then you might want to think again. According to Robert Jobson, the Queen had her fair share of Harry hassling.

“She sighed and said in front of her staff: ‘More money,’” a royal source told Jobson, adding, “The Queen adored Harry, but even her patience had limits. He was constantly asking for financial help, and she found it exhausting. It wasn’t the behavior she expected from her grandson – or from a duke who’d chosen independence.”

King Charles Liked Meghan Markle At the Beginning

Writing in his book, Jobson further revealed that King Charles, who ultimately led Meghan down the aisle to marry Harry, really liked Meghan at the start.

“He liked her, as did Camilla,” Jobson writes. “But by the time the couple announced their engagement, his enthusiasm appeared to have waned.”

In contrast, William was said to have developed unfavorable views of Meghan very early on.

“It’s too fast, he’d told me. Too soon. In fact, he’d actually been pretty discouraging about my even dating Meg,” Harry wrote in ‘Spare.’ “One day, sitting together in his garden, he’d predicted a host of difficulties I could expect if I hooked up with an ‘American actress’, a phrase he always managed to make sound like a ‘convicted felon.'”
