Prince Harry Devastated Brother Prince William Didn’t Back Him Up Over This

The rift between Prince William and Prince Harry may have been years in the making before it finally came to a head, but experts are convinced they can spot the exact moment when things started unraveling.

As luck would have it, Harry’s proposed marriage to the American actress Meghan Markle was the spark that burnt down the very foundations of their brotherhood.

Royal Expert Claims Prince Harry Misunderstood Prince William’s “Well-intentioned Advise”

In ‘Spare,’ Prince Harry would go on to tell us his big brother’s reaction to his decision to marry Meghan.

If I recall correctly, Prince William advised him to give their relationship a bit more time before proceeding to rush to the altar. This lack-luster reception from William apparently wounded Harry then, and the hurt has been with him since.

“I think the moment that we realised that there was tensions between the brothers was after I printed a story in Vanity Fair about William just urging Harry to take his time because they were engaged,” Katie Nicholl said on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Show.

“Of course, William had taken many years before he proposed to Kate Middleton because he wanted her to be his wife. He wanted her to be able to know that this was what she wanted for her life too.”

The royal correspondent reasoned, “And I think, you know, what was meant to be well-intended brotherly advice landed really badly with Harry. And I think it was the start of the real unravelling of their relationship.”

Nicholl added, “I mean, Harry really, it really hurt him that he felt he didn’t have his brother’s backing over Meghan.”

Salt was added to the wound when Harry and Meghan decided to resign from their senior royal posts and head to America to pursue a new life.

But this wasn’t the kick that killed the cow, as Harry and Meghan would gleefully go on to sit for several interviews, endlessly criticizing the Royal Family.

However, even after the Oprah interview where the Sussex duo floated accusations of racism, Prince William still opted to speak to his brother to try and resolve certain issues.

However, Harry kept pushing on, finally landing on William’s uncrossable line. Now, sources say William has moved on and is busy concentrating on his family and his role within the British Monarchy.
