Prince Harry And King Charles Are In A Good Place To Reconcile, Insider Reveals

Prince Harry will soon be jetting back to the UK to take part in a WellChild Awards event. During that time, if sources are to be believed, he will get to sit down with his pa, King Charles, for the first time in as many months.

There, the father and son can work towards setting aside their differences and reaching the peace treaty Harry told us he wanted in his May BBC interview.

There’s just one stumbling block in his path: Prince William has respectfully turned down the meeting. So I’m guessing it’s not going to be peace and joy with all of his core family members even after the meeting. One step at a time, they say, right?

Prince Harry Will Meet With King Charles For Reconciliation Talks During His September UK Return

According to a source speaking to The Mirror, reconciliation is finally within reach for the father-son duo following years of fallout, which has sadly often involved communication blackout.
These days, the stories are quite different. King Charles and Prince Harry are said to be willing – determined even – to hash out their differences.

The Mirror source said: “Nobody is pretending the wider family issues have been resolved, but this is about beginning with Charles and Harry. For the first time in a long time, there’s a genuine sense that reconciliation is within reach. Prince Harry’s team and the Palace have opened a line of communication, and there is every hope that father and son will see one another when the Duke returns to London in September.”

Can you believe it’s been 20 months since Harry last saw his father in the flesh? Well, it’s been. But Harry doesn’t want to lose any more time. If you ask him, he’d tell you that it’s because he doesn’t know how long his father’s got left. In context, said father is 76 and battling from an undisclosed form of cancer.

The insider further revealed that the encounter will be more of a “simple face-to-face conversation between a father and a son rather than a grand gesture or set-piece meeting.”

“Privacy” is one of the meeting priorities. I’m guessing the desire to clamp down on leaks might have been awakened after the meeting between Charles’ and Harry’s aides leaked. Pictures from the summit were a clear indication that the media had been tipped off about the meeting beforehand.
