I’m sure if there’s one part of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s life that he’d like to be well and truly behind him, it’s the Jeffrey Epstein part.
Throughout last month and early this month, US investigators have been finding more and more evidence that tied the former Prince to the late billionaire financier. For example, the now infamous 2001 picture with the young Virginia Giuffre has been confirmed to be legit after all, despite Andrew sources claiming it was a forgery.
Naturally, if this story of his could be disproved, US Congress is wondering which others might be as well. So naturally, they summoned him over, but according to reports, Andrew does not plan to honor this invitation.
US Congress Wants Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor To Help Them In Uncovering Jeffrey Epstein’s Co-conspirators
When it comes to the case relating to the convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, there’s a lot of mysteries to untangle. If speculators are to be believed, untangling this mess could put a number of powerful people behind bars.
In their bid to further deepen investigation into Epstein’s operation and pin down his former associates, the US Congress invited Andrew over to answer a few questions.
The letter, sent on Nov. 6, read, “The Committee is seeking to uncover the identities of Mr. Epstein’s co-conspirators and enablers and to understand the full extent of his criminal operations.”
However, one of the Democratic members of the oversight committee in the House of Representatives, Suhas Subramanyam, believes the disgraced former prince doesn’t intend to honor their summons.
Subramanyam said, Mountbatten-Windsor “has been hiding from us, and I think he will continue to try to hide from people doing meaningful investigations of this matter.”
Andrew has been urged by public figures in the UK, including the UK trade minister Chris Bryant, to honor requests from American lawmakers to testify.
Subramanyam further explained the reason Andrew is important to the investigation, by pointing out that every new evidence they uncover more or less seems to have Andrew tangled up in the mess.
“It seems like every time we find more evidence, Prince Andrew seems to be in the documents. And so I think if he is hoping that the story will just go away by ignoring us and being silent, he will be sorely disappointed as we continue to pursue this over the next year and beyond,” Subramanyam, who has represented a northern Virginia district since the start of this year, told The Guardian.
This is coming after 20,000 emails obtained from the Jeffrey Epstein estate were released, revealing his dealings with powerful figures like current US President Donald Trump.
