Meghan Markle Weighs In On Her Professional Separation With Husband Prince Harry

The news of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s professional separation was met with much witticisms, which soon morphed into speculations that the couple was finally calling it quits and divorcing.

The divorce rumors gained so much steam that Prince Harry personally addressed the claims a few weeks later.

At the New York Times’ 2024 DealBook Summit in NYC, the Prince dismissed the rumors, saying, “Apparently we’ve bought or moved houses 10,12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?”

Meghan Markle’s year is already set with her Netflix show, ‘With Love, Meghan,’ the launch of her lifestyle brand As Ever, and her podcast Archetypes landing on the female-owned streaming platform Lemonada.

Even though Meghan continues to forge ahead with her entrepreneurial pursuits, she’s still as involved as ever in her and Harry’s joint charity, Archewell Foundation.

“I imagine that it’s the same as it would be for any couple,” she told PEOPLE in a cover interview. “You have your individual jobs, but then you have things that you share together.”

She continued: “We’ve been such a close team for so long that we’re just in it beat by beat with each other. And I love that. To be able to be a female founder and do that with my husband’s support means everything.”

Raising two young children while working to build and sustain multiple businesses comes with a lot of challenges, as the tried and tested people would no doubt agree.

However, Meghan keeps both feet on the ground by aiming for some normalcy in her everyday life. “We go to a lot of dinners, and not just in people’s homes or private rooms; we just go into the restaurant,” she shared. “I really love that we can just have fun.”

In fact you might recall that Meghan and Harry left the Royal Family in 2020 because they wanted a normal life for their children, away from the glare of the spotlight.
