Meghan Markle Is Making Gumbo, She Doesn't Have Time For Thomas' Leg

Thomas Markle is in the news again, the estranged father of Meghan Markle had his leg amputated in the Philippines last week. 

The former royal’s father picked a horrible time to lose a limb, the Duchess turned lifestyle guru is busy promoting her new holiday special and cooking Christmas gumbo.  

The Daily Express and several other outlets confirmed Thomas Markles’ amputation.  According to The Express, “Thomas Markle, 81, was taken urgently to a hospital in the Philippines after falling seriously ill at his residence. He endured a three-hour procedure to extract a blood clot after his foot changed color to “blue and then black.”

If you follow the Royals, then you know that Prince Harry’s wife doesn’t speak to her father and they have had no contact since before the wedding.  Meghan cut ties with Thomas after he spoke to the media about her relationship with Prince Harry and then denied it when she confronted him. 

Meghan and Thomas’ troubled relationship has been meticulously documented in the press over the years.  It’s no secret that her father is eager to reconnect, and Meghan has confirmed that she refuses to communicate with him. 

After news of her father’s amputation went viral, the internet began attacking Meghan for not reaching out to Thomas after all this time.  Prince Harry’s wife just released With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration on Netflix on Wednesday, December 3.  She wants to talk about charcuterie boards, hot cocoa mugs, and her secret holiday gumbo recipe to the press, not the status on her father’s leg.

Meghan finally caved and sent her father a Get Well Soon email to get the press off her back and the attention back on her Netflix special.  But, her father says it must have gotten lost in the mail.
