Mama June: Family Crisis revealed that Alana Thompson’s boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, ran into problems with the law. Pumpkin Efird isn’t happy with the situation, and despite a lot of current critics, a lot of WETV fans agree with her.
Dralin Has Legal
Viewers were previously aware of Carswell’s legal troubles stemming from his February 2023 arrest. He faced four charges, including allegedly fleeing from law enforcement with a passenger and possessing an unregistered firearm. Weed was also found in the car. Unfortunately, Alana was reportedly in the vehicle with him at the time of the incident.
Initially, Alana’s sister, Pumpkin Efird, reacted strongly to fan concerns about the teenager’s involvement. However, it seems she had a change of heart. In fact, she now seems to disapprove of Alana’s devotion to her man. Actually, Mama June fans long feared that it might interfere with Alana’s college studies in Alabama. At one time, the WETV star’s enrollment was nearly derailed.
Alana Waits For Her Man?
The show recently revealed that Carswell could face up to a decade in prison after discussions with his lawyers in Georgia. Alana appeared worried about the news but seemed inclined to wait for him. It was Pumpkin Efird who candidly dashed some reality in her face.
“What are you gonna do? Sit here and harp and wait on him for 10 years? Girl, you have a life to live,” she told her sister.
June Shannon also had concerns about Carswell, who seems to be Alana’s top priority. The Mama June: Family Crisis matriarch straight out said, “Honestly, if Dralin goes to jail and Alana ends up giving up her nursing career, it would be the most stupidest thing ever.” Many WETV fans agree that it would, indeed, be a stupid thing to sacrifice her life for her relationship.
Siding With Pumpkin & June
The now-divorced TV star found a lot of followers who agreed that she was right on the nail. When fans on Reddit discussed Dralin, some of them called him “Draino.” One of them wrote, “I’ve always called him draino. He’s hanging around to draino Lana’s money and for a place to live.”
Another discussion contributor wrote about how they don’t think Dralin is very smart at all. And consequently, neither is Alana, who wants to wait for him. They observed:
There should not have been a chase at all. He is not very smart. The incident was during a time that some black men were being killed during traffic stops. He is a black man in the South with a underage White girl in the car. He needs to get some jail time. Maybe he will come out slightly smarter. Alaina (sic) should drop him. He is going to bring her down.
