King Charles Won’t Visit Prince Harry During 2026 U.S. State Trip

In September this year, Prince Harry and King Charles reunited for the first time in as many months, prompting many royal experts to suggest that the long-awaited reunion may be close at hand.

Naturally, many thought that Prince Harry and his family would be invited over for Christmas at Sandringham, allowing the King to see and spend time with his grandchildren, Archie 6, and Lilibet, 4.

This, of course, no longer looks like a likely occurrence, leaving the next window for a King Charles/Sussex reunion down to 2026. But we’re hearing stories there as well.

Here’s what we know so far.

What Will King Charles’ Rumored US State Visit Entail

Next year, the United States of America will mark 250 years of independence, and current President Donald Trump believes that the occasion will be even more momentous if King Charles graces the country with his presence.

You may know that what the US is celebrating is gaining independence from the imperial rule, so if Charles deigns to attend such celebrations, his presence will probably become one of the few times irony has been played out on such a grand stage and in such a global way. I mean, as a direct descendant of George III, the monarch who lost the American colonies, it is going to be quite the historical feat.

Nevertheless, Buckingham Palace is yet to announce that the event has been marked down in King Charles’ calendar. He’s a King after all, so no such thing as last minute plans.

Yet, even though we don’t exactly know whether King Charles plans to honor Donald Trump’s invite, experts are already speculating on whether a slight detour to visit Harry’s Montecito mansion for the very first time will be in the books.

Prince Harry may have moved to the US in 2020 and bought a multi-million dollar property in Montecito, California, the royal rift has meant that barely a member of the Royal Family has set foot within the walls of the house.

Yeah, Princess Eugenie did pay Harry and Meghan a visit a couple of times, but Prince William, Princess Kate, King Charles and Queen Camilla are yet to visit the property even once.

As a result of this, many are expecting that the King would likely take a detour to see his son’s US property during the planned April visit.

However, royal biographer Robert Jobson has staunchly rejected the idea, calling it “unlikely.”
