Jennifer Love Hewitt Talks 9-1-1 Season 9, Life Without Bobby

The 9-1-1 cast is gearing up for the Season 9 premiere this Fall, but spoilers rolling in for the new episodes are grim.  Will the primetime drama survive without fan fave Bobby Nash (Peter Krause)?  Keep reading to find out!  Here’s what’s coming up this season on 9-1-1, spoilers down below!

Jennifer Love Hewitt has played the part of Maddie on the popular ABC drama, right along side Peter Krause since the show debuted.  Krause’s character was a cornerstone on the series and considered a “hero” by fans at home that tuned in every week to watch him fight fires.  

Bobby Nash’s Death On 9-1-1

Sadly, 9-1-1 killed off Robert “Bobby” Nash in a heartbreaking scene at the end of Season 8.  Krause’s character sacrificed his own life to save another member of his team, he gave Chimney the last antidote to a virus they both had been infected by.  Without his own antidote, Nash passed away shortly after.  

The Season 8 finale ended with Bobby Nash’s wife and kids packing up their possessions and leaving town for good. 

Since Nash’s death aired on the primetime drama, fans have questioned how well the show will be able to go on without him.  Even his former co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt admits that it’s just not the same without him. 

Jennifer Love Hewitt Talks New 9-1-1 Episodes

Hewitt recently chatted on the red carpet about 9-1-1 Season 9 and dished, “It’s not the same. Nothing is the same.  I do think that when you’re telling a story about first responders, unfortunately, those are the things that happen.  He was the person that mattered to everyone in the cast the most, and so, I felt like he was our hero, and he always will be.”
