Is Cole Dying On The Young And The Restless

As Y&R fans know, the Newmans just celebrated Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) birthday. Everyone gathered for the diva’s birthday party. What should have been a happy occasion has turned into a disaster. This time the disaster doesn’t involve Aristotle Dumas.

Nikki’s birthday party went better than expected. Fans should know there’s no such thing as a drama-free party in Genoa City. While Cole (J. Eddie Peck) was dancing with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), he had a coughing attack and felt dizzy.

Cole told his family that he’s getting better, but he showed signs of being sick when he got dizzy at Crimson Lights. Viewers should have suspected something was up when he showed up at Nikki’s birthday party not feeling well.

When people suspected something was going on with him, he blamed it on the illness. During the party, Cole had an attack. Victoria wanted someone to call for help.

Cole didn’t want Victoria to call for help and refused to go to the hospital. Instead of going to the hospital, he went to a suite. On soaps, coughing is usually a sign that something is wrong with a character.

Things didn’t look good for Cole when he returned from his business trip. He started coughing out of the blue. Since then, he appeared to be better. The symptoms returned. He has been suffering from coughing attacks and shortness of breath. There’s more to the story that meets the eye.

When Cole left the party, Victor (Eric Braeden) thought he might have pneumonia. If Victor is right about Cole having pneumonia, his refusal to get help may cause something treatable to get worse.

It’s possible that Cole could be suffering from something worse than pneumonia. Is it possible that he has lung cancer? If he delays getting help, his issues will get worse. He may die from his symptoms.

Cole may be hiding a secret from his loved ones. When he went to the doctor did he find out more than he’s letting on? Did he know that he was suffering from a deadly illness and decided to keep everyone in the dark about it?

Cole may not have wanted to burden his family with the news that he was dying. He acted strangely when he got his test results. Cole acted like he was hiding something.

If Cole knew the extent of his illness already, it explains why he didn’t want Victoria to take him to the hospital. He didn’t want her to find out that he’s been lying to her about his condition. Perhaps he knows that there’s nothing that could be done about his situation.

Whether Cole knows what he’s going through or not, things are taking a downward spiral for him and the Newman family. They believe he’s just suffering from a cold but will be shocked when they find out it’s something more. Victoria and Claire (Hayley Erin) will be devastated if he dies unexpectedly. Will the writers decide to kill him off?
