The Bold and the Beautiful has shocked fans by giving Liam a brain tumor after we have barely seen him for nearly two years, but does that mean the character is really going to die?
Liam’s Sad and Tragic Plight
Liam Spencer is still in denial about having an inoperable fatal brain tumor. He said he refuses to accept this death sentence because he has two daughters he needs to be there for and everything to live for.
He doesn’t even want anyone but John ‘Finn’ Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to know the truth, which would leave his other baby mama, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), in the dark.
Many fans have wondered if this is just going to be another case of a miracle cure coming in at the last second, like what happened to Eric Forrester at the end of 2023.
Eric seemed all but dead and even saw Stephanie Forrester in the light, but Finn swooped and found a way to save Eric’s life. Will he do that again this time, with Bridge Forrester as his deputy?
Scott Clifton is Up For the Challenge
In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, Clifton acknowledged Liam’s absence as a front-burner character for nearly two years. He is happy to be on the front burner again, but is just taking things as they come.
“Out of nowhere, I got this script. I think before I even [read it], somebody from the show reached out to me and said, ‘Hey, you should read this next episode,’ and it was this big confrontation with Don [Diamont, Bill],” Clifton said. “And I went, ‘Whoa, where did that come from?’
And so I went to work, and I was grateful to do those scenes, and I saw that Liam has some sort of head injury at the end of them. And a few days later, I got a call: Brad asked me to come up to his office.”
While Clifton is shocked by this story, he doesn’t know how it’s going to end.
“They have this adage in acting classes where they say, ‘Don’t play the end of the scene,’ and I think there’s something to that in real life.” Clifton said. I’m kind of trying to cross each bridge as I come to it and not think too hard about it. To the fans, I would say, ‘Hey, man, we’re on this trip together! I’m right there with you. I don’t now exactly where this is going.
Tune in to new episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful on CBS to see how these stories play out.
