Hidden Motive Behind Prince William’s “Felony” Jab at Meghan Markle

According to new reports, Prince William was not sure Meghan Markle married brother Prince Harry strictly due to matters of the heart. Already, we’ve learned that the late Queen Elizabeth had grown wary of Meghan ahead of her 2018 wedding to Harry, and now, we’re learning that she’s not alone in that fear.

Prince William Suspected Meghan Markle Saw His Brother Harry As A “Stepping Stone” To “Fame and Fortune”

When Meghan Markle sat down with Oprah Winfrey to discuss her departure from the Royal Family, she said that she’d always thought she’d be in it for the long haul.

Even though she revealed that she didn’t have much formal guidance, she explained that she was committed and wanted to give the job her all.

However, according to royal biographer Phil Dampier, Prince William had already foreseen Harry and Meghan’s exit from the Royal Family, years before they even pushed the detonation button to leave for America.

“She saw it as a stepping stone, getting married to Harry and to new fame and fortune,” Dampier said, adding, “And I think that’s what initially Prince William was concerned about. And that’s why they fell out. And now, we are where we are. But to have this confirmed by somebody so close to the Queen is really dynamic.”

The late Queen Elizabeth was also said to have experienced these same fears, with her cousin and close confidante Lady Elizabeth Anson agreeing so.

Lady Elizabeth reportedly told biographer Sally Bedell Smith that she was suspicious of Meghan.

“I don’t trust Meghan an inch. Meghan could turn into nothing but trouble. We hope but don’t quite think she is in love. We think she engineered it all.”

Prince William Thought Prince Harry’s Marriage To Meghan Markle’s Was “Too Soon”

In ‘Spare,’ Harry confirmed that William did indeed express doubts about his relationship with the ‘Suits’ actress. “It’s too fast, he’d told me. Too soon. In fact, he’d actually been pretty discouraging about my even dating Meg.”

But William’s displeasure didn’t stop there, as Harry continues to write, “One day, sitting together in his garden, he’d predicted a host of difficulties I could expect if I hooked up with an ‘American actress’, a phrase he always managed to make sound like a ‘convicted felon.'”
