‘GH’ Star Daniel Goddard Shares Heartbreaking News

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that PCU Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton is creating quite the drama in Port Charles, and his portrayer, Daniel Goddard, is doing an incredible job of playing the villain. With that said, the actor recently hopped on social media to share a devastating loss with fans.

Daniel Goddard Lost His Father

In an emotional social media post, Goddard shared that his father recently passed away. The actor uploaded a photo of himself and his dad, with the following caption:

“My father has passed away. As I sit here and reflect upon his life, I’m flooded with memories of all the advice that he gave me growing up.”

Goddard added, “We’d always call them tips and tricks. Like, ‘You’ve gotta look the part to get the part!’ And ‘Take care, save wear!’ There were so many that at the time, you just didn’t seem to understand what it is they’re trying to teach you.”

The caption went on to say, “But once I became a father and had my own sons, it all started to make sense. Thank you for everything you did for me, Dad.”

Goddard closed with, “I learned more from you than you ever could have imagined. Rest in peace. I love you, your son… Daniel.”

Colleagues Chime In

Along with fans, General Hospital and former The Young and the Restless (Y&R) colleagues hit the comments section. Fans may recall that Goddard played Cane Ashby on the CBS soap from 2007 to 2019.

GHer Braedyn Bruner (Emma Scorpio-Drake) wrote, “I’m so sorry Daniel. Prayers and peace to you,” while Asher Antonyzyn (Danny Morgan) commented with, “So sorry, Daniel.”

Meanwhile, Y&R alum, Doug Davidson (Paul Williams) wrote, “I send my deepest condolences. Losing your cornerstones are so difficult, but I know beyond any doubt, he lives on in you and your sons. Keep an eye out, he will give you a sign. God bless him, you, and of course your mother.”

Y&R star, Sharon Case (Sharon Newman) commented with, “I’m so sorry, Daniel,” and Melissa Ordway (Abby Winters) also wrote, “I’m so sorry. Sending you love and prayers.”
