Just when it seemed like Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) couldn’t possibly stoop any lower, she has.
When faced with the potential reality of losing her children, Wiley and Amelia, to her ex, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), Willow has decided to take the risk.
For reasons beyond comprehension, Willow chooses to listen to Michael’s uncle, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), over everyone else, and it has cost her literally everything.
Willow And Drew Shacked Up While Michael Recovered From 3rd Degree Burns
While Michael and Willow were never particularly interesting as a couple, they seemed to be doing just fine until she decided that Drew was her latest savior.
Suddenly, he couldn’t say or do anything wrong. Willow stared at him with puppy dog eyes as he constantly sang her praises.
Their mutual admiration culminated in a romp on the playroom floor caught on the Qs nanny cam. Michael got the footage, and it was broadcast last Christmas during the Quartermaines’ family gathering.
Willow was so mortified that she split from Michael with no conversation and immediately justified the validity of her love for Drew.
Shortly thereafter, Michael was burned in a fire bombing and sent to a German clinic to heal, as Willow and Drew decided to play house with their newfound blended family.
Willow Has Listened To No One But Drew For Months
Willow has made almost every bad decision available to her, in spite of half of Port Charles trying to talk sense into her.
Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard), and, of course, her mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), have all tried and failed to get Willow to see what an actual dirtbag Drew is, and at every turn, she has defended him. The level of blind faith that she has had in him is mind-blowing.
Willow Chooses Drew Over Her Kids
Now that Michael has returned to Port Charles, Willow quickly realizes that she is no longer calling the shots. He got a temporary custody order and is ready to go to court and push for full custody.
He is furious that his children are tangled in the mess that is Willow’s life and told her point blank that she must dump Drew to be a part of her children’s lives. Of course, Drew swooped in and convinced Willow that Michael won’t have much of a say in custody court.
Instead of Michael’s words shocking Willow to her senses and back to reality, she has decided to take a gamble with custody. She has decided to defiantly defend her relationship with Drew, even if it means losing her children.
Willow may make it out of court with access to her kids, but that wouldn’t change the fact that she actually chose Drew over them.
