GH Spoilers: Will Jason’s Work with Joss Come As The Ultimate Betrayal To Carly?

General Hospital spoilers gush Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) told Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) the truth about Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) covert WSB lifestyle because he couldn’t stand to keep the truth from his best friend anymore.

He knew she wouldn’t react well, and he took a risk telling her knowing she would want to act on that information.

So far, she’s kept her lips zipped while plotting a takedown of Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) — working together with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) to do it.

We haven’t seen Jason and Carly getting much facetime with each other, and perhaps that’s because we know he would instantly figure out what she’s up to and try to intervene on her op with Valentin.

But now that he has decided to compromise Joss by asking for classified information about Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) cold fusion project, Carly may not take too kindly to her bestie potentially putting her daughter at risk. This is new for Jason, and it’s not going to look favorable for Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) either.

Change is Coming

Jason has always been Carly’s rock. Whenever she needed him — for whatever she needed — he came running.

That hasn’t changed, but if there is one thing Carly has never coped well with, it’s Jason giving his time and attention to another woman — especially if they come before her.

Last time Jason was wrapped up with Britt, he left her hanging to marry Carly “for the safety of the family.”

Britt is still holding that one over his head. Maybe that’s why he’s taking such a brazen risk in involving Joss in his personal mission to protect Britt. Who matters more here — Carly’s daughter, or Jason’s love interest?

GH Spoilers Ask If Carly Should Trust Jason No Matter What

Carly has never had any reason to doubt Jason or his judgement, and now probably isn’t the best time to start doing so. Still, I can’t wrap my head around why he would ask Joss to commit treason on Britt’s behalf.

Sure, Britt saved Joss’ life — twice, but Joss hasn’t been acting like she owes her much of anything. Still, Jason knows Joss would do just about anything to help him, and Britt is important to him.

Carly may not see it that way though if she finds out the tough spot Jason put Joss in just to protect Britt — Joss be damned.

Will Carly trust that Jason was never going to let anything bad happen to Joss? If it were that simple, would she be worried about Joss at all?

A Bridge Too Far?

There’s a first time for everything I suppose, and this might be the first time Carly takes issue with how Jason treats her family. That’s going to be a tough pill to swallow if that’s the case, because up until now, he has been a part of her family.

Seeing him put Britt’s well-being ahead of Joss’ could turn the tables for Carly and have her thinking Britt is the worst thing that ever happened to Jason — and I could see her clinging to that as her latest excuse to not like the woman Jason has eyes for.

We can hope she never finds out Joss and Jason were conspiring together on this project, but it’s unlikely. How will it all unravel? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
