‘GH’ Spoilers Wednesday, September 24: Father Figures, Suspicions Of Guilt, Moving On

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Wednesday, September 24, tease father figures, suspicions of guilt, and moving on. Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) finds he’s a father figure, Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) has suspicions of guilt, and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) is moving on.

Father Figures

During the GH preview for tomorrow’s show, Cody finds himself in the stable with James West (Gary James Fuller), who tells him sometimes he really wishes he were his dad! With his mother, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), in an indefinite coma, James probably feels kind of like an orphan, even though he’s not. He has his grandmother Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and of course Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Cody in his life. Plus, Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) truly does love him like he’s his own!

Cody looks thoughtful as the pint-size cowpoke tells what’s in his heart. Cody will be there for James as long as he needs him to be, and he’s welcome any time. (Make sure to check out our next week GH spoilers, here!)

Sometimes The Best Advice Is Do Nothing

In the meantime, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is talking to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), undoubtedly about the friction she sees between her parents. Trina wants to help, to intervene somehow in the midst of the investigation into Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting that has her parents in the crosshairs.

She obviously tells Jordan she feels helpless, and that there is nothing she can do to keep her parents together. Jordan gives her ex-stepdaughter some wise advice-she tells her nothing is exactly what she needs to do.

Suspicions Of Guilt

Elsewhere, Trina’s grandfather Marshall is talking to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) about suspicions of guilt; he asks if Curtis thinks Portia could be guilty? Curtis knows that Portia would have a motive to off Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) just as much as he would. The question is, would she really have tried to commit murder on top of all the other problems she’s endured with the cutthroat congressman?

Curtis was a bit surprised at his father coming home and saying Drew got what he deserved. The Ashfords are banding together to make sure none of them go down for the crime!

Moving On

At the hospital, Portia seeks out Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) and tells him that she wants him to know that she’s reconsidered, and decided to move on. She decided that there’s nothing left of her and Curtis’ marriage, after he said he’d met with Jordan at the Brown Dog Bar when questioned by Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).

Isaiah and Portia had spent a hot night in bed together, then she told him it could never happen again.  It sounds like she’s changed her mind about the two of them continuing to be lovers, although it could get a little sticky. After all, with her a co-chief of staff at the hospital and him a surgeon, technically she’s his boss!

Father/Daughter Heart To Heart

General Hospital spoilers say Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase (Amanda Setton) will be on the ELQ plane, probably looking for the missing Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) when she tells someone, “Now that I am officially braced, what now?” This is obviously in response to someone telling her to brace herself! She and her father, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will have a heart-to-heart talk during tomorrow’s show, so what will they chat about?

Many things might be the subject of that talk, anything from the Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) situation to her rift with her mother and grandmother-related to that. Of course, they could always be speaking their hearts about the late Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) as well.

Is It Really Him?

At GH, John Doe a.k.a. Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) became conscious as Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was sitting and holding his hand on Tuesday, September 24. He seemed to recognize her when she called him “J”, and she seemed to have become a believer. Nina’s in tears, crying, “How are you here”? of course meaning how is he alive, considering they all saw him buried. However, he does look a little confused, does he have amnesia, or perhaps he’s brainwashed? His face, his DNA and his fingerprints match Nina’s cousin who was raised as her little brother, but does he truly remember?
