‘GH’ Spoilers Wednesday, October 8: Cleaning Up, Important Assignments, Intriguing Theories

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Wednesday, October 8 tease someone’s cleaning up, important assignments and intriguing theories!

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) talks about someone cleaning up evidence, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) gets an important assignment, and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) shares an intriguing theory.

Cleaning Up

Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) has a revelation as he and Anna are discussing a case-presumably, the attempted murder of corrupt congressman Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Anna notes to Chase, “if anyone knows how to clean up evidence, it’s him”. (Make sure to check out our next week GH spoilers, here!)

 Who might they be discussing, Michael Corinthos, (Rory Gibson) Sonny Corinthos, (Maurice Benard) or even Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)?

Jason’s got a solid alibi for the shooting itself, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t have disposed of Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) gun when he returned. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time Jason cleaned up evidence for Sonny, or to protect Michael!

Important Assignments

Elsewhere, Josslyn has a meeting with her boss, WSB Station Chief Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) now that she’s back in town from Australia. Jack tells her he has a very important assignment for her; and Josslyn is all ears.

Might this have something to do with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and her brother Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) reappearances from the presumed dead?

 Given that the Five Poppies resort was under WSB scrutiny, it makes sense the WSB would continue to keep an eye on Britt. And Nathan’s reappearance is too close to Britt’s return to not be somehow connected!

Carly Questions Elizabeth

In the meantime, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) has gone to Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) house to talk to her about the investigation.

She’s borderline frantic as she implores Elizabeth, “If it’s me they’re looking at, I need to know!” Carly and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had just been warned by Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) about Michael being closed in on by the PCPD.

Carly may have an airtight alibi she thinks, but it sounds like she’s fishing for information on the investigation. It makes sense to her to talk to Liz, since she was the one who walked in on her death threats to Drew before he was shot.

Intriguing Theories

In Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) office at the hospital, Curtis has dropped in to talk to his not yet legally ex-wife about Drew and his blackmail.

He tells Portia if he’s right, he no longer has any power over them. Curtis is talking about the missing evidence from Drew’s safe, with which he was blackmailing Portia-which affected Curtis as well.

Little do either of them know that Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) burned the incriminating paperwork after Kai took it out of Drew’s safe after he was shot!  

They were hiding in Drew’s bedroom but didn’t see who shot him, although they heard the gunshots.

Willow Is Distraught

As for Willow Tait, (Katelyn MacMullen) she is at GH in Drew’s hospital room talking to him-he looks up with concern as she tells him she hasn’t been completely honest with him.

It’s not really that she owes him any honesty after he was so dishonest with her, and it may not be such a good idea for her to have access to his room!

Willow is one of several on the Persons Of Interest board Anna set up for the investigation, although they seem to be fine tuned in on Michael at the moment.

However, considering Willow knows how to get in and out of the Quartermaine mansion and without being observed, she could have taken the gun and used it on Drew. Right now, it’s a wait and see whether the gun turns up.

Interrogating Britt Already?

In another part of the hospital, probably near the hospital break rooms considering a vending machine can be seen in the background, it looks like Joss is already  interrogating Britt. 

Britt had just demanded a Metro Court suite with no expenses, in exchange for keeping her silence about Josslyn’s WSB silence.

Might Josslyn be threatening to expose something she knows about her former heroine, who saved her life from the Hook, if she doesn’t spill what she knows?

It doesn’t look like that method is working for her, since Britt just claps back with , “Go for it!” with a face full of snark!
