GH Spoilers: Most Disappointing Storyline Of 2025

General Hospital spoilers tease that a lot has happening in Port Charles this year. But the saga of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) has been one of the most controversial.

Drew used to be such a good man, he even took the fall for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) when she was set to go to prison for insider trading. But something happened to Drew in prison. He wasn’t the same man he was. He became angry and ruthless.

Drew Cain stole his nephew’s wife

Drew broke up with Carly the moment Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) returned to Port Charles.

For a while, Nina Reeves (Cynthis Watros) was the focus of all his anger. Things escalated to the point where Drew and Nina became so angry that it turned to passion.

They had sex several times with both insisting that it didn’t mean anything. Eventually, Drew’s attraction to Nina’s daughter, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) became so great that they pursued an affair.

It didn’t seem to bother Drew that Willow was married to his nephew, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson)

Drew Cain has made a lot of enemies!

As one can imagine, Michael was furious with Drew once he found out about the affair. Nina and Carly also found themselves hating Drew as well. Things took another turn when Drew began blackmailing Dr. Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr).

Both Portia and her husband Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) both had reason to seek revenge on the Congressman.

Even Willow walked out on Drew after learning of his affair with her own mother. So it came as no surprise when someone finally shot Drew twice in the back!

General Hospital Spoilers – Who shot Drew Cain?

Luckily for Drew, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliott) found Drew in time and called an ambulance. Drew recovered in almost record time. Drew didn’t even feel regret for his actions.

Willow was eventually arrested for the crime, but even now, we still don’t know for sure who shot Drew months later.

What started as an exciting storyline because a long, drawn out mess. Nothing has really changed. Everyone still hates Drew. And he’s still plotting against everyone he hates. A good storyline has a good and timely payoff.

The mystery of who shot Drew fails in that respect. Hopefully, the crime will be solved before 2025 is over.
