‘GH’ Spoilers Monday, September 22: Changing The Rules, Doppelganger Déjà vu, Peacemaking Efforts

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Monday, September 22 tease changing the rules, doppelganger déjà vu, and peacemaking efforts. Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase (Amanda Setton) says a Q can change the rules, doppelganger déjà vu hits the GH ER, and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) makes  peacemaking efforts.

Secret Admissions

Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) confides in her mother, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), about her feelings. She’s a little embarrassed to admit that she thinks she has feelings for Cody Bell (Josh Kelly). He’s a stable hand and she’s a lawyer-it could sound like a bit of a mismatch, admittedly, although his uncle’s the senior DA and his father’s a  cop!

But Molly did see evidence of a big change in Cody, who used to be somewhat of a con man and grifter. Telling Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) to donate the reward for Outback’s return to an animal rescue really impressed the assistant district attorney! Changing The Rules

It would seem either Outback got away from Gio and returned to the stable on her own, or else Gio and Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) agreed to let Cody shelter her. Brook Lynn is now at the stable and sees the cute beagle and she says if a Q made the rule not to allow pets in the stable, a Q can change it! It sounds like Brook Lynn is going to use her Quartermaine privileges to change that rule, the only question is, who made it?

Will she be going up against her grandma Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), or has that been in place since the days of Foster and Annabelle? Foster was Lucky Spencer’s (Jonathan Jackson) childhood mutt who got Lila Quartermaine’s (Anna Lee) purebred dog pregnant!

Doppelganger Déjà vu

In the meantime, the GH emergency room is hit with a serious case of doppelganger déjà vu, as the accident victim who Lulu tried to help is brought in with the ambulance. Elizabeth Baldwin, (Rebecca Herbst) Lucas Jones, (Van Hansis) Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) were all in shock at seeing Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) identical lookalike! Anna’s seen everything from actual returns from the dead ala Cassadine to masks to make someone look exactly like someone else, even her!

That happened around fifteen years ago when Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) impersonated her and Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan). Anna’s being super cautious as she tells everyone she wants to keep this completely quiet until they all know what’s exactly going on!

Peacemaking Efforts

In the meantime, Lulu is dropping in on Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) who appears to still be staying in Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) room above Bobbie’s until she gets her first paychecks.  Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) hired her as the emergency room intake supervisor; will she be in for a shock when she goes to work!

Britt peers out of her door with a rather suspicious look on her face, as Lulu tells her she’s there to make peace for Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) sake. Lulu has realized she’s not going to be able to keep Rocco from wanting to know his surrogate mother, seeing how he’s bonded with Liesl as a grandmotherly figure. Hopefully, Britt will agree to keep things peaceful and try to lose her habit of calling him “Ben”.

CarSon’s Bad News

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) get the bad news that Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) has died, and Sonny, as Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) adoptive father, grieves.  Carly, however has an odd response, as Sonny tells her “I wish I could say it’s going to get easier”. Carly says “no, we don’t like each other-but is she referring to Monica, in the present tense, or perhaps to Tracy?

It was understandable that Monica would not have liked Carly, since she basically used AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) for sex, in her bad girl days, resulting in Michael. Tracy still doesn’t like her-but AJ was Monica’s son with Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon)!
