General Hospital spoilers and updates for Monday, June 23 tease good news and bad news, important questions, and a mother’s advice.
Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) delivers good news that’s bad news for Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) asks important questions, and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) gives a mother’s advice.
Suck It Up, Buttercup!
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase (Amanda Setton) tries to encourage “Granny” Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) to take the deal discussed earlier. (Make sure to check out our next week GH spoilers, here!)
Martin Grey, (Michael E. Knight) Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) were discussing a press conference she needed to be in.
In order to take Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) down, they need to let him think that he’s winning-basically, winning in everything including framing Tracy for dosing him with ketamine.
Tracy doesn’t seem to be real receptive as Brook Lynn basically tells her “suck it up Buttercup!” Brook Lynn tells her she just needs to swallow her pride and take it!
Good News And Bad News
Kai catches up with Trina at work, and he updates her on the job offer Drew had discussed with him earlier.
Drew wanted to offer him an internship connected to his Congressional office but advised him he could still stay in Port Charles, just travel back and forth to DC as Drew does.
Trina is totally against Kai having anything to do with Drew whatsoever, because she doesn’t trust him, and she’d talked to both her mother and her best friend about it.
The good news is, now Kai thinks he can see a path forward for a future outside of pro football. The bad news, at least as far as Trina is concerned, is that he says he took Drew up on his offer.
Jordan And Curtis Are Together At The Pool
Now, Curtis is with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) at the Metro Court Pool, and she tells him something was “the best feeling ever”.
She may just simply be referring to a dip in the cold pool on an extremely hot day, or she could be talking about something else they both have knowledge of.
Jordan had just met with her old friend Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) earlier, confiding she didn’t know how she felt about her ex’s marriage being in trouble.
Nor did she know how she felt about his confiding in her about it; yet, there she is, and apparently having a good time together!

Important Questions
Elsewhere, Carly is asking her son some very important questions-she asks Michael if he’s willing to keep her out of their children’s lives for good?
Obviously, she’s talking about Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and his being granted full custody of Wiley and Amelia Corinthos (Viron Weaver, Serenity and Sequoia Mork-Macko).
At this point, there is no visitation included in the agreement, and as long as she’s involved with Drew, he won’t allow it.
Willow seems to be in a fugue state since the court’s decision was handed down. Michael is not without compassion, it was difficult to see her break down in court-but for now, she’s just not safe.

Taking The Bait?
It looks like Martin might be in Drew’s office with him, and both of them are smiling. Drew is excited, as he responds to whatever Martin just told him “It’ll be the second best thing that happened to me all day!”
Might it be that Drew is taking the bait that Martin has given him, since he seems to be helping Tracy, Michael and Curtis take Drew down?
Martin is having to act like an undercover agent maintaining a cover, but maybe he’s picked up some tactics having hung around spies!

Mother’s Advice
Elsewhere, another mother is giving advice, Nina is trying to encourage a spaced-out looking Willow that waiting will be worth it.
She had seen Willow at the Metro Court Pool, hanging on for dear life to a shirt of Wiley’s that she recognized-she’d just missed him and Michael.
Nina had asked some very pertinent questions, making sure Willow wasn’t stalking her children because she’s forbidden from having contact with them.
Nina feels sure that with time, Michael will realize the children need their mother in their lives. She tries to convince her that waiting will be worth it.
