General Hospital spoilers and updates for Monday, December 8, tease Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) has a heart-to-heart talk, while Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) won’t make excuses! In the meantime, at Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) house, she confronts Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart)!
Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s Heart-To-Heart Talk
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn sits with her father, and she tells Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) “it’s the part I regret the most”. She’s probably referring to the act of Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) alienating Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza).
Gio finally accepting her as his mom, and even calling her mom, was a happy relief for Brook Lynn. He finally understood why she gave him up as a teenager, and of course, when he and Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) saved Ned, Gio bonded with him as his grandpa.
But they can be thankful for the progress they made, and that Gio and Emma were there when Ned needed them the most. That’s what family is supposed to do for each other! (Check Out Our Weekly Spoilers, HERE!)
Lucas Jones Snaps
Elsewhere, Lucas is dining out with his boyfriend Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) during a preview clip for General Hospital’s December 8 show. It’s obvious that they’re discussing Lucas’ sister, Carly and her attitude about Marco. Lucas tells Marco it’s not ok, and he’s not going to pretend otherwise.
Carly had come to the hospital to try and make amends, missing him at Thanksgiving, but he’d refused to go. As far as Lucas is concerned, Carly is being hypocritical, because of her past marriages to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for making Marco guilty by association. The way Lucas sees it, in spite of Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) having been a bad guy in Somalia and perhaps is one now, it doesn’t make Marco one!
Dante Falconeri’s Worry
In the meantime, at the Port Charles Police Department, Dante has gotten word of Valentin’s prison escape! He briefs Nathan West, (Ryan Paevey) and tells him nothing will keep Valentin from getting to Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke)! He likely wants Nathan to go to Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) house to be on the lookout there.
Valentin has escaped prison, is in town on the loose, and everyone, including Dante is concerned.
Lulu Spencer’s Panic
Obviously, Lulu has been made aware of Valentin’s escape, as she’s running out towards the front door of her house, yelling for her children! It sounds like Charlotte isn’t the only one she’s worried about, as she yells towards the open front door for both! Charlotte and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) must have just gone through the door or be somewhere in the yard.
She yells, “Charlotte and Rocco, get in the house NOW! She thinks that Valentin may be coming for Charlotte, but she may suspect that Rocco would try to protect his sister, so this means both kids are in danger.
Josslyn Jacks’s Concern
Still in the WSB office, where Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) had summoned her for a strict lecture during the December 5 show, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) reacts to the news that Valentin’s escaped. She says that means her mom’s in danger too, likely referring to the time around a year ago when Valentin spiked Jack’s champagne with polonium, but Carly drank it! It was fortunate for Carly that Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) had developed an antidote for polonium poisoning, that had cured Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary).
The poison was meant for Jack, with an angry Valentin wanting revenge for putting Charlotte in danger. Jack’s rogue assistant had shot up a café where he, Charlotte and Lulu had been meeting; needless to say, the antidote worked magically!

Carly Spencer Doesn’t Back Down
Carly had been working with Valentin against Jack, but she obviously didn’t intend for him to break out of prison and show up at her house! She almost hit him with a fire poker, but he got it out of her hands. Yet, she’s very stern during Monday’s show as she tells him he needs to get the hell out of her house NOW!
She may not mean to imply he wouldn’t be welcome under other circumstances, but if he’s on the run she doesn’t want to hide him either. Valentin is bloodied in the face like he either jumped through glass, or took a heck of a beating in the process of escaping-perhaps under other circumstances, she’d have treated his wounds.
