Her tear-eyed exit as she said goodbye to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) before embarking on the adventure of running Alison ‘Blaze’ Rogers’ (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) worldwide music tour, the fans wept knowing that mom and daughter just aren’t okay, and we don’t like seeing them leave things on such unsettled terms any more than they did.
But we also know Brook Lynn can’t let her mother back into her life until she makes peace with what happened with her baby boy all those years ago, and how her mom kept it a secret ever since.
Lois stopped in Port Charles to tie up loose ends and say what needed to be said to Giovanni ‘Gio’ Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) — that she is the one who betrayed him, no one else.
Still, it doesn’t appear that’s going to move the needle, or will it? What is clear is Brook Lynn and Lois aren’t going to be okay before Brook Lynn and Gio are.
Bon Voyage, Lois
Lois was quick to break the news to her daughter that she was leaving the country. This took Brook Lynn by surprise, and it was clear that Lois expected it to.
Just because she and Brook Lynn aren’t on good terms right now doesn’t mean Lois doesn’t know her daughter as well as she always has.
That’s part of what made their exchange so painful, knowing neither of them really want things to be this way, but knowing it is the way things are going to be for a while. The question is — for how long?
GH Spoilers Claim Brook Lynn Wrestles with Heartbreak…Alone?
Her mother might be just a phone call away, but Brook Lynn hasn’t been willing to pick up the phone and reach out when she feels so deeply wronged by her mother.
At the same time, she’s had others to lean on. But now Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) feels a little bit less available living at Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) place instead of the Quartermaine mansion. Still, Brook Lynn is practically still a newlywed.
Surely she has her hubby in her back pocket, right? One might think so, but Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is spending more time focused on Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) legal situation lately than he is on his wife’s damaged relationship with the son she gave up for adoption.
Now, grieving what feels like a loss involving her mother, who is going to be by her side? Without Tracy and Chase readily available, will she feel more inclined to call her mom back into the states, and back into her life?
Gio Makes a Confession
We saw Gio open up to Emma today about his conversion with Lois, recounting how she laid into him about sidelining his passion for music ever since he found out Brook Lynn and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamporgna) are his biological parents.
Finally, Gio was open to encouragement from Emma, and he didn’t mind her saying that having parents is always going to be important. It got Gio thinking he might actually be open to entertaining a relationship with Brook Lynn and Dante. How soon?
No one knows, which means we don’t know how soon we might see Lois return either, but here’s to hoping Christmas brings some Bensonhurst back around!
Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead to see how this plays out for the family.
