General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) will have an alarming realization.
Having destroyed the evidence Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was blackmailing Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) with, may he have left his prints on that crime scene baseball bat?
Kai And Trina Were Hiding In Drew’s Bedroom When Shots Rang Out
Kai and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) were hiding in Drew’s bedroom after hearing him come home, they’d been trying to break into his safe, to remove the blackmail documentation.
This documentation provided proof that Portia had altered Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) medical records to keep her in prison, to protect Trina and others.
Heather was found to have been “The Hook” who killed and attacked with a grappling hook poisoned with snake venom.
However, she had been found to have been affected by cobalt poisoning from a faulty replacement hip, which could have vacated her sentence.
When Drew was shot, Kai went ahead into the living room, grabbing a baseball bat in case the shooter was still there-they weren’t.
Kai Managed To Get The Offending Paperwork Out Of The Safe, He And Trina Left As Tracy Quartermaine Was Coming
Kai managed to get the offending paperwork out of the safe, and he and Trina left as Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) was coming-she called 911.
But now, with the investigation into who was the shooter in full swing, and even Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) under suspicion, Kai remembers a worrying detail.
He was so worried about getting the evidence from the safe and getting himself and Trina out safely, he may have forgotten to wipe that bat! The home is still a crime scene and being processed-might he become a person of interest in shooting Drew?
One good thing is Kai doesn’t have any kind of criminal record-but where might his fingerprints be on record-as a child, when the Inky Pinky cop came to school?
What Kind Of Alibi Can Kai Come Up With, Should He Be Brought In For Questioning?
Kai considers he may be worried over nothing, considering he didn’t step down as Drew’s congressional intern and would be expected to visit his home.
But if he’s brought in for questioning, he would still be placed at the crime scene, since there was no evidence that Drew may have grabbed the bat!
Drew himself has testified that he was alone in the house, as far as he knew, when an unknown assailant shot him in the back-he didn’t know who, but made several accusations.
This Kai and Trina know from what Curtis shared at the time he visited Drew in ICU. Still, Kai is alarmed to think that he could be considered as a person of interest, provable motive or not!
