GH Spoilers: Isaiah Makes A Tempting Offer That Could Change Everything

General Hospital spoilers claim Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) just had his whole world turned upside down.

We can tell he’s trying to keep his feet planted firmly on the ground by tabling discussions about fatherhood until the paternity test has been carried out, but his heart seems to be jumping ahead without him.

The tears in Isaiah’s eyes upon watching Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) make plans to go “home” with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) were on display last week, and it sent the message that Isaiah is in deep with his boss. Deep love that is.

It would appear he wants this baby badly, and we have to question just how far he’ll go to make sure he’s the father. Preview reports suggest Isaiah will make a proposition this week. What might that be?

Stacking the Deck

It’s possible that Isaiah’s plan is to offer Portia the option no man has before — living a lie. Her past with Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) was rife with conflict.

Who can blame the guy for ending up in the bottle after she let him raise a child that wasn’t his only to have her ripped away from him as she entered adulthood?

Finding out about her affair with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) that many years later was painful enough, but the sting of the consequence of that affair costing him his only child was brutal.

Marcus and Curtis both know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of Portia’s internal battle with the truth. Will Isaiah be the first man to walk into her life and agree with her that a lie that suits their personal agenda is a better idea?

Might he say he’s willing to raise the child and never find out who the father is? Could he convince Portia to lie to Curtis about the paternity of the baby?

GH Spoilers Tease He Could Head for the Hills

On the other hand, Isaiah might have watched Portia’s face light up from that hospital bed as she gleefully accepted Curtis and Trina’s offer to take care of her.

Those tears in his eyes might not have been about the baby she was carrying or their botched weekend plans at the cabin, but about the threat of losing her to a life that is still somewhat hanging onto her.

Could it be that Isaiah plans to offer Portia a clean break where he walks away and lets her raise the baby even if he is the father? Maybe he didn’t want to talk about whether he ever wanted to be a dad because the answer isn’t what she would likely be hoping to hear?

Popping the Question

Of course, with Portia and Curtis ready to move forward with their divorce, Isaiah might think it’s time to put a ring on it. But what would Portia think of moving so quickly? Her daughter doesn’t even know that she has a boyfriend yet. Goodness, almost no one does!

If Trina thinks her world has changed on a dime since Thanksgiving, just wait and see what happens if her mom says she’s engaged to a guy Trina barely knows. Moreover, divorces take time, but I could see Curtis being all about speeding things up.

He’s trying to move the needle in his own would-be relationship with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).
