‘GH’ Spoilers Friday, October 3: Father-Son Soda Fun, Strangely Concerned,  Dysfunctional Crypt Visits!

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Friday, October 2 tease offensive questions, someone strangely concerned, and dysfunctional crypt visits!  Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) takes offense, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is strangely concerned, and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) share a dysfunctional crypt visit!

Taking Offense

Carly finds herself under interrogation in the office of Port Charles Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), even though she has an alibi for the night Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was shot.

She takes offense, and retorts to Anna, “Do your job, and stop trying to pin it on the obvious suspect!” Carly was worried this would occur, especially since Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) overheard her making a death threat against Drew.

Nevertheless, Anna refuses to rule Carly out as a suspect simply because Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) has given her an alibi. As she previously stated to Acting District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor), Anna lacks trust in Jack’s integrity! (Make sure to check out our next week GH spoilers, here!)

Strangely Concerned

At the hospital, Britt is strangely concerned  about Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) after experiencing discomfort upon seeing James West (Gary James Fuller) with him.

She was aware that he, Spinelli, and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) were heading to Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) room.

Britt appeared troubled by the entire idea of a not-so-dead Nathan getting closer to the family, including their mother Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati).

Now, she confronts Spinelli, questioning whether he genuinely believes Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will be alright with this? There’s an eerie feeling surrounding this situation—it simply doesn’t sit well!

Father And Son Meet For The First Time

James West (Gary James Fuller)  comes into Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) hospital room as he’s looking at what appears to be a tablet; James comes bearing gifts, two cans of soda. Nathan smiles, and says, “Oh, hello there” and James responds with a rather bashful sounding “Hi”; Nathan responds, “You must be James.” James says “thought you might be thirsty so I got you a soda-but I didn’t know which kind you like-so I’ve got orange and grape-you can pick”.

James walks up closer and Nathan responds, “Well-you’re not going to believe this, but orange and grape are both my favorites. James responds, Really?; Nathan says, “Really-so, you have to help me out and pick your favorite;” James responds, “Orange and grape are my favorites too.”

West Men Toast With Soda

Nathan can’t believe it—“No way,” as James replies, “If I had to pick, I suppose I prefer orange just a bit more.” Nathan responds, “In that case, I’ll go for the grape since I liked that one a tad more.” As they pop open their soda cans, Nathan suggests, “You know—we ought to make a toast.” James asks, “To what?” Nathan replies, “To sharing the same favorite sodas as my son.” They then clink their soda cans together in a toast, both seem amazed at their soda preferences passing from father to son.

A New Connection

In another part of town, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) forges a new relationship when he encounters Veronica “Ronnie” Bard (Erika Slezak), the younger sister of the late Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson). Their conversation revolves around Tracy, with Ronnie asserting that she will not let Tracy bully her! Sonny, too, shows no fear of Tracy, even with her persistent attempts to drive him out of Port Charles!

It appears that Sonny and the newcomer share a strong connection, exchanging stories—did Monica ever mention anything about Sonny as Ronnie suggested she did regarding Tracy? Will Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) name surface in their dialogue?

Dysfunctional Crypt Visits

Tracy and Michael find themselves in the Quartermaine crypt, where the family’s dysfunction is starkly revealed as they bicker among the dearly departed! Tracy spotted Michael in his car near Drew’s house on the night of the shooting and alerted him about it. Now, it appears she’s more focused on probing for answers than on safeguarding him.  It seems Tracy is suggesting that Michael might be implicated in his uncle’s murder, given that he possesses both motive and means, and if she discloses his secret, he had the opportunity! Michael, visibly frustrated, responds that if she truly thinks he’s being dishonest, she should report it to the police!

Alexis Davis’ Dangerous Wake Up Call

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) remains completely unaware that she and Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) captive, who pretended to swallow his sedative, have successfully escaped his restraints! Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) has made his way to the upper level of Alexis’s home, where he has discovered the Cassadine dagger that was once in the possession of Jens Sidwell (Carlo Rota). Even though Alexis had no desire for the dagger, there it was—how did it come to be in her home, and where did Ric stumble upon it?

That inquiry may be moot now that Ric is gripping the dagger, pressing it against her throat as she abruptly awakens on the couch! After what seemed like an eternity trapped in a panic room, Ric has become increasingly frantic—be cautious not to rise too quickly, Alexis; you wouldn’t want that dagger to slip!
