Ric Lansing betrayed Ava Jerome
Ric turned on Ava quickly and revealed that he drained all of her bank accounts. As viewers know, Ava and Ric had been blackmailing Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) with the fact that Kristina had tampered with the brakes of Ric’s car, even though at the time she believed it was Ava’s.
But Ava and Ric’s alliance crumbled when Ric’s interest in Elizabeth sparked Ava’s jealousy. But before Ava could do anything, Ric drained all the accounts where they kept the blackmail money. Furious, Ava hit Ric on the back of the head with one of Alexis’ paperweights.
Ric Lansing may soon wish he were dead!
Although the blow didn’t kill him, Kristina and Ava knew that they have no choice but to work together to keep each other out of prison. Once Alexis arrived, she reluctantly agreed. Kristina moved Ric’s car to a shed in the back of Alexis’ property.
As for Ric himself, he woke up to find himself bound and gagged in what must be Alexis’ basement. Noticeably upset, Ric squirmed and tried to make enough noise so that someone would come to his rescue. But it’s not likely that’s happening just yet.
Elizabeth Webber will grow suspicious!
Although Elizabeth has made it clear that nothing romantic can ever happen between herself and Ric, she has allowed herself to enjoy his company. Presumably, Alexis and the others will soon tell her that Ric left town suddenly.
Liz won’t believe that Ric could leave without telling her. So, look for her to grow suspicious of Ava, Kristina and Alexis sooner rather than later. But will she be the one to finally rescue her ex. Perhaps the bigger questions is, should she?
