‘GH’ Spoilers: Chase is About to Become The Next Drew Cain, Fans Worry!

General Hospital Spoilers: The Fans Worry Chase is About to Become The Next Drew Cain!General Hospital spoilers claim Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) has been flailing about without much of a storyline to grab onto.

The fans have noticed, too. The last year and a half of Chase’s life has been riddled with difficulty.

Looking back at last year, Chase went down the long and painful road of slowly losing his father, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison), and then the actual loss of him — which was more abrupt than anyone expected and the day after Chase’s wedding.

Immediately, his big brother Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) leaned on the bottle for support, which landed Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) in Chase and Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) care just as they became newlyweds.

Since then, he has found out he can’t have children, found out Brook Lynn already had one with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) as a teenager, and now found himself on the opposite side of the war between Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) as his wife.

As Chase takes matters into his own hands to solve the case of Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting, will he find himself on the outs with almost everyone he loves as they turn against his personal methods of dealing with disagreement?

Chase’s Take on Michael

Right now, Brook Lynn is sick with grief, worried that her father may not survive this heart attack. It’s not the right time for Chase to pick up their disagreement about Michael and Willow.

Still, the last time they spoke of it, they cleared the air — knowing they disagree but agreeing to see the good in each other anyway. Brook Lynn’s undying loyalty to her family doesn’t surprise Chase.

Likewise, his commitment to protecting the people he cares about and seeking justice don’t surprise his wife. But if he takes a dark turn to stick it to Michael, Brook Lynn may start to see him differently — and so could the fans.

GH Spoilers Gush This Isn’t That Abnormal

Truth be told, while we understand the concern that fans are presenting, this isn’t all that out of the ordinary.

As mentioned above, Chase had some pretty gripping storylines over the last two years. It’s normal for GH to give the guy some time off after all of that and let him settle into a bit more of a routine schedule and plot line.

That doesn’t mean something major isn’t on the horizon, and it doesn’t mean Chase is going to end up being some kind of bad guy just because he’s not presenting as anything special right now.

Prepared for a Plot Twist

Of course, just because we know how much potential Chase has as the good guy in town, that doesn’t mean he’s not being primed for something more sinister.

Still, not everyone considers stepping out on his wife or having lingering feelings for his ex-wife to be sinister. It’s awful, but is it Drew-level awful? Chase’s desire to save Willow — even at the expense of his marriage — is going to taint his character in some fans’ eyes.

But we still think Chase has plenty of room to redeem himself, if he even strays too far from the moral and principled man we’ve known him to be. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out.
