Monday’s previews show Ava dangling a new opportunity to scheme together with Alexis, likely to regain control and punish Ric.

Her history of ruthless games — think tampering with Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) meds — suggests a plan to frame Ric for their blackmail scheme, which holds Kristina’s brake-slicing stunt over Alexis’ head.

Imagine Ava slipping into Alexis’ office, her smile sharp as she pitches a way out of their blackmail nightmare.

This week, Ava might propose they lie, blaming Ric for coercing Kristina’s actions against her, leaving both women in the clear.

Of course, this could blow back on Kristina, whose reckless attempt to kill Ava by cutting Ric’s brakes nearly killed Elizabeth.

It’s not like Alexis to be so illogical as to think she can pull off a crime, but desperation has made her take risks before, and she would do anything for her girls. Will Alexis take Ava’s deal to save Kristina, or see through her scheme?

Ava’s plot to frame Ric sounds appetizing to her, but Alexis is likely to feel it’s a more a high-stakes choice than Ava is presenting it as.

Will she play along to protect Kristina, tying the blackmail mess in a neat bow, or risk it unraveling, leaving her daughter more exposed than ever and risking her own career and freedom in the process?

Let’s not forget, Alexis is already essentially out on good behavior and had to work her tail off to get her law license reinstated.
