GH Ryan Paevey Hallmark Update Disappoints Fans — Here’s What We Know

General Hospital spoilers suggest that fans of the ABC soap are over the moon that Ryan Paevey is back in full force as Nathan West.

With that said, the actor recently provided an update about potential Hallmark projects on the horizon, and the status of that proved to be disheartening for viewers in that genre. SOS has all the details below.

Ryan Paevey Talks Finding His Way Back

Women’s World covered an interview with Paevey, where he admitted that it’s been challenging to get back into the routine of things since he took an acting hiatus and left the industry to move to San Diego.

Paevey noted that looking after his family was the motivation to take a break from the business; however, his decision to “retire” from acting might have been premature. (Fans would agree!)

He goes on to state, “I’d had my 15 minutes, and I have Fortunate Wanderer, my jewelry business that does quite well, so I just worked as a silversmith and did my thing.”

Still, while it was a hard decision at the time, Paevey felt it was selfish to walk away from acting, as he had had such a great experience with all the projects he worked on in the past.

With that said, when he was ready to return, he got a text message from GH’s Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, and the actor states this was all “fortuitous timing.”

What About Hallmark?

While many fans adore Paevey’s work on GH, he’s also got a plethora of Hallmark fans from his work on that network. Paevey has shot some films since his return to acting; however, Hallmark projects are on the back burner.

Paevey has also pressed pause during the holiday season for a bit of a break. As he says, “I’m exhausted. Movies are back, television’s back, I’m making brand deals, I’m keeping my business afloat. I’m busier than I’ve ever been…”

With that said, the door is open to Hallmark, but when Paevey’s schedule lightens, there is some hope.
