There’s been some speculation for many months now that Maurice has been asking his former General Hospital co-star Kelly Monaco to join him on his show, State of Mind. But for some reason that she just hasn’t given, it hasn’t happened yet.

After all, Maurice has had many General Hospital and even daytime television stars from the other soaps on his show to talk about their mental health and past stories. But Kelly is the one person that he just can’t get on his show.

Not only that, but Maurice knows that if Kelly were to go on the show, it would be a ratings hit. All the major publications would talk about the episode, and that’s the kind of media boost that his series needs right now.

As many of our readers are aware, Kelly was forced out of the soap back in 2024. She was best known for her role as Sam McCall for well over two decades on the show.

To this day, General Hospital producers have not given a reason as to why she was fired, nor have they said anything about what they plan on doing with her characters in the future.

Sam McCall is supposedly dead, but as many of our readers know, when it comes to the world of soap operas, anything can happen at any time. There’s always a chance that the character might be recast.

General Hospital fans would love for Kelly to go on Maurice’s show just to talk about everything that has happened to her in the last few months. But whether or not she will remain to be seen. A lot of soap fans are crossing their fingers that she will change her mind.

So far both Maurice Benard and Kelly Monaco have not made any comments about the speculation just yet.
