EastEnders spoilers and updates for the week of July 28 tease Oscar Branning’s (Pierre Moullier) violence, Alfie Moon’s (Shane Richie) return, and Suki Panesar-Unwin’s (Balvinder Sopal) intervention.
Also, Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) has fears, Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) has strong words, and the late Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) friends and family celebrate what would have been his 40th birthday.
Oscar’s Violence Over Gang Threats
Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) finds out that Mike (Tai Hilferink) was at the house threatening Oscar, and she insists on getting their uncle Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) involved for protection.
Oscar tries to handle things by himself, but when Mike and his friend Harrison (uncredited) attack, Jack comes to help.
Oscar is on his last warning at Lauren’s, but the pressure makes him lash out when he sees a hooded figure in the house, not realizing it’s Peter Beale (Thomas Law).
Peter kicks Oscar out, but Lauren wants her brother to talk about his actions-she soon learns more about Oscar’s experiences in the youth detention center.
Determined to assist Oscar, Lauren argues with a hesitant Peter. Lauren leaves for baby Jimmy Beale’s (uncredited) first support group without Peter, while Oscar faces more issues with Mike.
Alfie’s Return
Alfie is back, but will he disclose the truth about his recent activities? Alfie comes home after his secret trip to assist Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan), and Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) confronts him for lying, still believing he was aiding his daughter Cherry Slater (uncredited).
Alfie vows never to deceive Kat again, but with Zoe returning, will the first Kat learns about it be when she sees her daughter for the first time in years?
How will Kat respond to Alfie’s secrecy, and will Alfie be pleased with Kat’s choice to purchase The Queen Vic?
Suki Intervenes
As Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) makes a choice regarding her pregnancy, Suki intervenes. Avani heads to her appointment to end her pregnancy, but Suki questions Avani’s friend Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) to discover her destination.
Is Suki attempting to persuade Avani to reconsider; Avani’s predicament arises weeks after her encounter with the troubled teen Joel Marshall (Max Murray).
Viewers are aware that Joel secretly recorded the encounter and later shared it with their classmates, leading to Avani being bullied at school. With Suki pressuring her, what will Avani decide to do next?
Nicola’s Fears
Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) is feeling anxious when George Knight (Colin Salmon) nearly discovers a stash at Kojo Asare’s (Dayo Koleosho) apartment, where Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) has forced Harry to hide.
Later, Ravi assigns Harry his next task, but an unsuspecting Kojo wants to join Harry, prompting Harry and George to intervene.
Harry is compelled to allow Tobias “Okie” Okyere (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu) to run illegal operations at the apartment and asks Nicola to help divert George’s attention.
However, Nicola tells Harry that she is concerned he is getting too involved with dangerous individuals.
Harry refuses assistance, but as Nicola offers George a position as Head of Security at Harry’s Barn, will George uncover Harry’s criminal activities happening right under Kojo’s nose?
Yolande’s Strong Words
Yolande is worried that Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) is using gambling to fund her dream wedding-she tells Patrick to stop betting, but he keeps doing it secretly.
He eventually wins a lot of money on the horses and asks Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) to hide it from Yolande.
Howie feels ashamed when his son Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) mentions he asked Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) for money, so he tries to get a bouncer job at Harry’s Barn.
George winds up getting the job instead, and Yolande finds out about Patrick’s gambling and warns him that the wedding is off if he bets again. But when Howie offers to place the bet for Patrick, will Patrick agree?
