‘Eastenders’ Spoilers Weekly Update: Lauren’s Wedding Decision, Max Returns, Stacey’s Brazil Bound

EastEnders spoilers and updates for the week of September 29 tease Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) makes a wedding decision, and Max Branning (Jake Wood) returns.

Also, Stacey Slater’s (Lacey Turner) Brazil bound, Kathy Cotton’s (Gillian Taylforth) suspicious, Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) protects her son, and newcomer Jasmine (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) starts up a rivalry!

Lauren’s Wedding Decision

Peter  Beale (Thomas Law) and his family finalize the arrangements for Lauren’s surprise wedding, however, when Lauren opts to work instead of attending the spa day, Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) steps in.

Unaware of Peter’s intentions,  Penny and Lauren share a drink, during which Penny’s remarks raise questions about Lauren’s relationship.

The two then head to The Queen Vic to meet Peter and are taken aback by the wedding decorations, as Peter kneels and proposes to Lauren for that very day!

Lauren is taken aback and, though hesitant, agrees before heading home to prepare- Penny senses Lauren’s anxiety, but Lauren insists she’s okay – only to attempt to escape!

As Lauren and Peter get ready for the wedding, we are left in suspense about whether the bride will say ‘I do’; then, suddenly, an unexpected guest arrives.

Max Returns

Max returns to Albert Square next week, just in time for daughter Lauren’s surprise wedding to Peter-his arrival sparks fireworks among the locals, while his ex, Stacey, prepares to leave.

Max arrives just in time for the ceremony, leaving the locals stunned;Stacey and Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) watch in disbelief, as Max’s son Oscar (Pierre Moullier) tries to catch his attention.

However, Max is preoccupied with Zoe, prompting Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) to warn Zoe away from him after witnessing their conversation – will Zoe disclose that she already knows Max?

Next, Max shifts his focus to Stacey and follows her home. What will the former couple discuss?

Peter Worries Max’s Presence Will Attract Cindy

Peter worries that Max’s presence might bring Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) back, and soon enough, Cindy learns about Max from Jasmine.

She confronts Max about the death of her son Steven Beale (Aaron Sidwell). But that’s not the only confrontation Max faces, as he and Lauren clash over their shared traits.

Lauren demands her father leave Walford again, but what will Max do next? And will Cindy allow Max to escape the consequences of his past-we suspect he won’t see it coming!

Stacey’s Brazil Bound

Stacey attempts to convince Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) to relocate to Brazil with her, but Lily firmly states that she and Charli Slater (uncredited) will remain in Walford.

Zoe and Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) both try to talk Stacey out of moving, while Eve Panesar-Unwin (Heather Peace) offers her support-later, Stacey declares her decision to stay.

But Lily worries that her mother has chosen poorly; eventually, Lily and Zoe persuade Stacey to go to Brazil, but Jean is absent when Stacey gets ready to say her farewells.

The family is unaware that Jean is trapped on the tube with Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) and is oblivious to the drama happening in the pub. Priya assists Jean during a panic attack, but will Jean arrive in time to bid Stacey farewell?

Kathy May Be On The Verge Of Discovering Callum’s Betrayal

In other news, it seems Kathy might be on the verge of confronting Callum Highway’s (Tony Clay) betrayal regarding her son Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden). New intriguing images suggest that Kathy could soon discover Callum’s infidelity in forthcoming scenes.

Following the death of Callum’s estranged father Jonno Highway (Richard Graham), Callum’s partner Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) falsely claimed that Jonno had left some affectionate messages for Callum.

Callum confessed his desire to be with Johnny and expressed a wish to go public with their relationship – even though he is married to Ben! Is Ben headed for a heartache inflicted by his cheating spouse?

Kathy’s Suspicious-Will She Expose Callum’s Betrayal Of Ben?

Shortly after, Callum spends increasing time with Johnny at the café. While the complete context of these images remains unclear, Kathy appears to be suspicious-will she expose the affair?

Callum is depicted in the middle of a phone conversation, while Johnny looks troubled on another occasion, sitting alone at The Albert. Viewers are aware that Ben is returning home on day release from prison to support Callum during Jonno’s funeral.

Will Kathy uncover the truth about Johnny before that happens-and could Callum reconsider his choice of Johnny as his future partner if he realizes he has been deceived?

Nicola Protects Her Son

Additionally, Nicola Mitchell is prepared to confront Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) regarding her son Harry (Elijah Holloway).

Ravi and Okie Okyere (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu) are concerned that Kojo Asare’s (Dayo Koleosho) apartment is in jeopardy after learning that their recent drug operation has caused issues with another gang.

Harry disregards a gang monitoring the flat, hoping that a police raid will deter Ravi and Okie from utilizing Kojo’s residence.

However, Harry becomes anxious when Kojo returns, and as Kojo realizes that Okie has been assaulted, Harry is sidetracked by Gina Knight (Francesca Henry). Harry comes to assist with the cleanup, but he finds himself in Gina’s disfavor for missing the wedding.

Harry Calls Nicola For Help

Later, Harry reaches out to Nicola for assistance in resolving his debt to Ravi, and she warns him that she will contact Ravi’s superiors if he continues to manipulate Harry.

Ravi makes it clear to Okie that both Kojo and the flat are crucial to their operation, while Harry remains unaware as he mends things with Gina at The Vic.

Gina and Harry officially declare their romance and arrange a last-minute weekend getaway, while Priya is furious with Ravi for his absence.

As Priya fabricates her plans to provoke jealousy in Ravi, will she come to understand how he is targeting Kojo-and is Harry truly out of danger?

Jasmine Starts A Rivalry

Walford newcomer Jasmine  engages in a rivalry with the Slaters, demonstrating she’s a formidable opponent. When she insists that they settle their drink tab in advance at The Albert, she faces the full fury of the Slaters.

The family, celebrating 25 years on-screen this year, seems to be revisiting their old ways, but will Jasmine allow them to escape unpunished?

She is dedicated to her job and refuses to let customers accumulate tabs, regardless of whether it was tolerated before. She disregards what previous and current owners may have permitted; when Jasmine is in charge, she calls the shots!
