‘Eastenders’ Spoilers Weekly Update: Kat’s Reunion, Patrick & Yolande’s Wedding, A Life Hangs In The Balance

EastEnders spoilers and updates for the week of September 1 tease Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) has a reunion, while Patrick and Yolande Trueman (Rudolph Walker, Angela Wynter) marry.

But tragedy rears its ugly head once again in Walford as a life hangs in the balance, when someone is shot!

Kat’s Reunion

The long-awaited moment is finally upon us next week, as Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) confronts her estranged daughter Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) for the first time in years.

A frantic Kat is eager to locate her son Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall), completely unaware that he has already found Zoe.

Both Kat and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) are worried that Tommy might be lost to them forever, but then Kat receives a message from him indicating that he is close by.

When she hears his voice, her relief quickly turns to shock, and nothing can prepare her for the moment she lays eyes on Zoe, who is returning to Albert Square after two decades! Kat is anxious to talk to Zoe, but they have a complicated history.

Zoe Is A Very Different Person Since She Left

With the fact that Zoe is a very different person since she left in 2005, the reunion is bound to be challenging. Additional images reveal Zoe reconnecting with her great-grandmother, Big Mo Harris (Laila Morse), in what promises to be deeply emotional scenes.

As more details emerge about Zoe’s life during her absence, the question remains: what is her significant secret, and how will Kat respond? Will the estranged mother and daughter be able to work through their many and significant issues with one another?

Patrick And Yolande’s Second Wedding

Elsewhere, Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) is weighed down by guilt regarding his response to Oscar Branning’s (Pierre Moullier) attack on Patrick.

As the repercussions of Oscar’s confession unfold, Patrick is adamant about not proceeding with the wedding as the big day approaches. However, Denzel Danes’s (Jaden Ladega) hopeful spirit motivates Yolande to resolve to get the festivities back on track.

Despite Patrick’s firm stance, Kim (Tameka Empson) and Denise Fox (Diane Parish) are determined to make arrangements regardless.

As guests begin to arrive and Denise and Kim brace themselves for the possibility that the wedding may not happen, they are overjoyed when they arrive, allowing the wedding to take place after all!

A Shot Rings Out, A Life In The Balance

Meanwhile, best man Howie is grappling with guilt over his involvement in the incident concerning Patrick’s stolen money, having coerced Oscar into giving it to him-will Howie break under the pressure?

Sadly, a new disaster is imminent while the reception is happening at The Queen Vic… Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) is shocked when Oscar shows him the gun he discovered.

Oscar pleads with him to help get rid of the gun, unaware that Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) has overheard them; Ravi breaks into No. 27 to retrieve the gun.

But his former partner Denise sees him sneaking out and informs her husband Jack, who confronts Ravi, but the situation escalates, resulting in the gun firing.

The wedding guests are in shock as they are trapped in The Vic and a life hangs in the balance – but who is it, and will they make it?
