DOOL Spoilers: Kristen’s Difficult Decision – Take Peter Off Life Support?

Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) will find herself forced to make a difficult decision.

With her brother Peter Blake (Dan Gauthier) in an indeterminate coma, might she be forced to consider taking him off life support?

Kristen Was Forced To Knock Peter Out In The Crypt, To Save Her And The Others’ Lives

Kristen was forced to knock Peter out in the crypt, to save her and the others’ lives, using one of the bones she unearthed trying to dig a hole in the bottom of the crypt to escape.

Unfortunately for Peter, he landed on another bone which effectively stabbed him in the area of his heart!

The remaining DiMeras retrieved the key to the crypt from Peter, who was now unconscious, and get themselves, him, and Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) who was also unconscious, to safety.

The surgeons were able to successfully remove the bone that had implanted itself in Peter’s body, but he has gone into an indeterminate coma, meaning he may never wake up.

Kristen finds herself his healthcare power of attorney should something happen to him, and now she’s forced to make a heartbreaking decision, after not seeing or hearing from her brother in years.

The Doctors Can’t Promise Peter Will Ever Wake Up

The doctors can’t promise Peter will ever wake up, because his heart had stopped just long enough to possibly interfere with blood flow to his brain.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and shocking his heart with “the paddles” managed to get his heart started again, but he’s never woken up.

An electroencephalogram has showed some brain activity, but perhaps not enough to run his entire body plus give him any quality of life, even if he did awaken.

Short of their mother, and Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) Peter is Kristen’s only original family member, and even though she had no choice but to knock him out. Kristen didn’t count on Peter falling on a bone and being stabbed by it!

Peter May Surprise Kristen And The Doctors

Peter may just surprise Kristen and the doctors, because according to a recent promo, Kristen is shown at the bedside of a patient-she’s crying, and he suddenly grabs her arm!

She’s taken aback, especially when he grabs her a second time-the face can’t be seen, but the tip of a white beard can be seen, so it has to be Peter.

He doesn’t seem happy, either, possibly comprehending that she’s getting ready to take him off life support and saying goodbye forever.

But Kristen, who’s having problems dealing with Rachel being in Bayview, may have to make a second difficult decision, considering Peter seems to have developed a bad case of megalomania!

She may well have to make the decision to commit him to Bayview, or another psychiatric facility for his own good-he’s definitely a danger to others.
